Abstract

Sumber Daya Manusia merupakan salah satu aset penting dalam dunia industri karena memiliki kemampuan untuk berinovasi, berkreasi dan memimpin (soft skill). Angkatan kerja pada era industri ini akan diisi oleh para individu generasi Z, termasuk mahasiswa perguruan tinggi. Oleh sebab itu sangat penting bagi mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan soft skill mereka. Salah satu cara mengembangkan soft skill mahasiswa adalah melalui kegiatan kemahasiswaan. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan di Universitas Pelita Harapan, diketahui bahwa terdapat 22% mahasiswa yang tidak aktif mengikuti kegiatan kemahasiswaan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis hubungan antara profil mahasiswa, yaitu fakultas asal, angkatan, dan jenis kelamin dengan ketidakaktifan dalam mengikuti kegiatan kemahasiswaan. Lalu dilakukan analisis tentang alasan dan pertimbangan ketidakaktifan mahasiswa berdasarkan karakteristik generasi Z, dan diberikan usulan dan saran kegiatan kemahasiswaan bagi UPH. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner dan wawancara, kemudian diolah dengan software SPSS. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara profil mahasiswa yaitu fakultas dan angkatan dengan ketidakaktifan mahasiswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan kemahasiswaan (p-value <0,05) dan tidak terdapat hubungan antara jenis kelamin dengan ketidakaktifan mahasiswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan kemahasiswaan (p-value >0,05). Adapun alasan & pertimbangan mahasiswa adalah tidak bisa membagi waktu, fokus belajar, tidak berminat, malas, tidak sesuai bakat, dan bekerja. Alasan & pertimbangan tersebut kemudian digunakan sebagai saran untuk kegiatan kemahasiswaan baru. = Human Resources is one of the important assets in the industrial world because it has the ability to innovate, be creative and lead (soft skills). The labor force in this industrial era will be filled by generation Z individuals, including college students. Therefore, it is very important for students to develop their soft skills. One way to develop student soft skills is through student activities. Based on research conducted at Pelita Harapan University, it is known that there are 22% of students who do not actively participate in student activities. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim to find out and analyze the relationship between student profiles, namely the faculty of origin, class, and gender with inactiveness in participating in student activities. Then an analysis of the reasons and considerations of student inactiveness is based on the characteristics of Generation Z, and suggestions and suggestions for student activities for UPH are given. Data collection was done by questionnaire and interview, then processed with SPSS software. The results of data processing showed that there was a relationship between student profiles, namely faculties and forces with the inactiveness of students in participating in student activities (p-value <0.05) and there was no relationship between sex and student inactiveness in student activities (p-value> 0,05). The reasons & considerations of students are that they cannot divide their time, focus on learning, are not interested, are lazy, do not match their talents, and work. These reasons and considerations then used as suggestions and for new student activities.
