Abstract

This research was conducted at PT Tunggal Jaya Mitra Abadi Medan. In this study, testing and analyzing the effect of work discipline on employee performance. PT Tunggal Jaya Mitra Abadi Medan is a family business company. The work discipline of PT Tunggal Jaya Mitra Abadi Medan experienced a decline which resulted in a decline in employee performance. The theory used in this study is related to the theory According to Hasibuan (2016), indicators of employee work discipline are retribution, justice, supervision attached, penalty sanctions and firmness. According to Bangun (2015: 234), to measure employee performance is as follows amount of work, quality of work, timeliness, presence, ability to work together. In this study, the method used by the author is a quantitative analysis method. The type of data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Data was collected through interviews and questionnaires distributed to employees. The population and sample in the study amounted to 32 employees of PT Tunggal Jaya Mitra Abadi Medan. This study uses a random sampling method by taking a number of populations as samples to be tested using SPSS. The scale used to measure variables is the Likert scale. Based on the results of testing the effect of work discipline on the performance of employees of PT Tunggal Jaya Mitra Abadi Medan. The coefficient of determination value of R Square value is 0.574 which means that 57.4% of employee performance is effected by work discipline and the remaining 42.6% is effected by other variables outside this study. The conclusion in this study that there is the effect of work discipline on employee performance at PT Tunggal Jaya Mitra Abadi Medan./ Penelitian ini dilakukan di PT Tunggal Jaya Mitra Abadi Medan. Dalam penelitian ini menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. PT Tunggal Jaya Mitra Abadi Medan merupakan perusahaan bisnis keluarga. Disiplin kerja PT Tunggal Jaya Mitra Abadi Medan mengalami penurunan yang mengakibatkan kinerja karyawan yang mengalami penurunan. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terkait dengan teori Menurut Hasibuan (2016), indikator disiplin kerja karyawan adalah layanan balasan, keadilan, waspada, sanksi penalti dan ketegasan. Menurut Bangun (2015: 234), untuk mengukur kinerja karyawan adalah sebagai berikut jumlah pekerjaan, kualitas pekerjaan, ketepatan waktu, kehadiran, kemampuan untuk bekerja bersama.. Dalam penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah metode analisis kuantitatif. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada karyawam. Jumlah populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 32 karyawan PT Tunggal Jaya Mitra Abadi Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode random sampling dengan mengambil sejumlah populasi sebagai sampel yang akan diuji menggunakan SPSS. Skala yang digunakan untuk mengukur variabel adalah skala Likert. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan PT Tunggal Jaya Mitra Abadi Medan. Nilai koefisien determinasi Nilai R Square adalah 0,574 yang berarti bahwa 57,4% kinerja karyawan dipengaruhi oleh disiplin kerja dan sisanya 42,6% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar penelitian ini. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini bahwa terdapat pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT Tunggal Jaya Mitra Abadi Medan.
