Abstract

The position of leadership is essential for job promotion and development of corporate growth. Employee satisfaction is important for quality work in order to perform efficiently. Leadership styles affect the happiness of workers and their organizational engagement. Ineffective management and management in the building industry is a primary cause for low levels of employee satisfaction and corporate involvement.This research objectives are: (1) To describe the leadership style at Junction Cafe Medan; (2) To describe the employees’ job satisfaction at Junction Cafe Medan; (3) To investigate the impact of leadership style towards employees’ job satisfaction at Junction Cafe Medan. This research was conducted by using quantitative descriptive method. Number of samples used in this research are 40 samples. Data used in this research is primary data and secondary data. Data analysis methods used in this research are validity test, reliability test, descriptive statistic, normality test, correlation test, determination test, analysis of linear regression equation, and T-test. According to the data analysis, the coefficient of linear regression = 0.718 (positive). This means that leadership style (X) has positive influence towards job satisfaction (YThe result of T-test shows that tcount > ttable (4.277 > 2.0129) with the significant value 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, it can be inferred that leadership style has a significant positive influence towards job satisfaction/ Posisi kepemimpinan sangat penting untuk mendapatkan promosi jabatan dan pengembangan pertumbuhan perusahaan.Kepuasan karyawan penting untuk menghasilkan pekerjaan yang berkualitas sehingga karyawan dapat bekerja secara lebih efisien. Gaya kepemimpinan memengaruhi kebahagiaan pekerja dan keterlibatan organisasi. Manajemen yang tidak efektif dalam suatu organisasi adalah penyebab utama rendahnya tingkat kepuasan karyawan dan keterlibatan perusahaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Menjelaskan gaya kepemimpinan di Junction Cafe Medan; (2) Menjelaskan kepuasan kerja di Junction Cafe Medan; (3) Mencari tahu pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan di Junction Cafe Medan. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan adalah 40 sampel. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian bersumber dari data primer dan data sekunder. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji korelasi, uji determinasi, analisis persamaan regresi linear, dan uji T. Berdasarkan data analisis, koefisien regresi linear = 0.718 (positif). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan (X) memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap kepuasan kerja. Hasil uji T menunjukkan bahwa thitung > ttabel (4.277 > 2.0129) dengan nilai signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05. Oleh karena itu, dapat dikatakan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dan positif terhadap kepuasan kerja.
