Abstract

Employees are the cornerstone of any business. Improving performance will have a positive impact on an organization's profitability. Therefore, the only way to get people to like working hard is to motivate them. The purpose of the research is to analyze the influence of motivation towards employee performance at Smarco Ringroad City Walks Medan. Motivation is anything that moves an individual towards a particular goal. For the corporation or management, it is very important to treasure an approach to motivate their employees. Meanwhile, employees’ performance is a multi-dimensional construct. It defined what individual has accomplished in the past. This research applied quantitative research design. The target population of Smarco Ringroad City Walks Medan is 120 people where 93 become the sample of the test through simple random sampling. Questionnaires were used to collect information regarding the motivation, internal process, information and performance of Smarco Ringroad Citywalks Medan. The result of coefficient of determination is 0.510% which means motivation variable has influenced 51% to the employee performance. Linear analysis result is Y=8.330 + 0.772X.The result of hypothesis T-Test shown that Ha is accepted means that there is an influence of motivation towards employee performance at Smarco Ringroad Citywalks Medan. Based on the finding, the company is recommended to involve employees in teamwork and give chance for employees to take more responsibility and make decision. Besides, the company also needs to focus on employee attendance and also build up employees’ skill to work in team. / Pegawai adalah landasan utama dari segala bisnis. Meningkatkan kinerja akan memberikan dampak positif pada profitabilitas perusahaan. Dengan demikian, satu-satunya cara untuk membuat orang suka bekerja keras adalah dengan memotivasi mereka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa bagaimana pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja pegawai diSmarco Ringroad Citywalks Medan. Motivasi adalah segala sesuatu yang membuat individu bergerak mencapai tujuan tertentu. Untuk perusahaan atau manajemen, sangat penting untuk menghargai sebuah pendekatan untuk memotivasi pegawai mereka. Sementara itu, kinerja pegawai adalah sebuah konstruksi multidimensi. Hal ini menjelaskan apa yang seseorang telah capai di masa lalu. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitiatif. Target populasi dari Smarco Ringroad Citywalks Medanadalah 120 orang dimana 93 orang menjadi sampel tes melalui sampling acak sederhana. Kuesioner digunakan untuk mengumpulkan informasi mengenai motivasi, proses internal, informasi, dan kinerja Smarco Ringroad Citywalks Medan. Hasil dari koefisien uji determinasi adalah 0.510% yang berarti variable motivasi memiliki pengaruh 51% terhadap kinerja pegawai. Hasil analisis linier adalah Y=8.330 + 0.772X. Hasil hipotesis T-Test menunjukkan bahwa Ha diterima artinya ada pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja pegawai di Smarco Ringroad Citywalks Medan. Berdasarkan hasil temuan, perusahaan disarakan untuk melibatkan pegawai pada kerja tim dan memberikan kesempatan kepada pegawai untuk mengambil lebih banyak tanggung jawab serta membuat keputusan. Selain itu, perusahaan juga perlu focus pada kehadiran pegawai dan membangun kemampuan pegawau dalam bekerja secara tim.
