Abstract

Satu cara efektif untuk memaksimalkan kekayaan adalah dengan melakukan investasi. Tetapi, investasi sangat kompleks. Maka, akan muncul perbedaan dalam keputusan investasi dari setiap individu di dunia ini. Seseorang mungkin akan merasa sulit untuk membuat keputusan dalam investasi dan tidak banyak orang tahu cara yang benar. Alhasil, orang mungkin mengikuti tindakan orang lain, dan mungkin tanpa mereka sadari. Ditambah lagi, etnis seseorang bisa mempengaruhi keputusan seseorang. Batak Toba ataupun Tionghoa, dengan memperhatikan nilai-nilai etnis masing-masing, mungkin akan menghasilkan keputusan investasi yang berbeda. Objektif dari riset ini adalah mencaritahu apakah behavioral finance atau group psychology, dan ketika digabungkan, akan mempengaruhi keputusan investasi. Jawaban 60 responden akan diambil untuk mengrepresentasikan populasinya, yakni warga Medan. Sebelum Multiple Linear Regression Analysis akan dipakai untuk Uji Hipotesa, uji validitas dan realibitas diuji untuk memastikan data yang terkumpul adalah valid dan dapat dipercaya. / The one effective to maximize wealth is by doing investment. However, it is very complex. As a result, there will be variety of investment decisions of every individual in this world. An individual will most likely find it hard to make a decision to invest and not many know how to do it correctly. This may lead people to imitate others’ actions, and perhaps it happened without them realizing it. To add, paying attention to their ethnicities, may affect one’s decision. Being Batak Toba or Indo-Chinese, paying attention to each ethnicity’s values, may lead people to different investment decisions. The objective of this research is to figure out whether if behavioral finance, or group psychology, and both combined, will actually affect investment decision. 60 respondents’ answers are taken to represent the population, citizen of Medan. Before Multiple Linear Regression Analysis is utilized to test the Hypothesis Test, validity test and reliability test are examined to ensure that the collected data are valid and reliable.
