Abstract

It started with the reasearch that is assigned by Kementerian Ristek and Dikti Republik Indonesia to make boat from expanded polystyrene with thin concrete casing made of ultra high performance concrete or UHPC with title Applications Fiber High Quality Concrete (UHPC) for Boat Building and Floating Structures with Dualcoque Technology. This study is conducted with the main objective to test the strength of boat thin concrete casing as UHPC shell or called on this study by UHPC macro shell. The study was conducted on test object macro shell UHPC with the influence of curvature in one direction based on the use of polynets and the volume of polypropylene fibers to the strength and deflection of the test specimen. High curvature determined on the making will pass through the interpolation process to determine the strength of the curvature of UHPC concrete boat building. Testing is done by giving a static load centers on three points specimen with two dial to determine the deflection until maximum loads. From the test showed that the UHPC macro shell with curvature of 15 cm and 0.8% polypropylene fibers, reaches a maximum load of 52.42 kg or 11 times its self weight and maximum deflection of 0.95 mm and 0.94 mm. UHPC macro shell with curvature of 20 cm and 0.8% polypropylene fibers reaches maximum load of 83.76 kg or 14 times its self weight and maximum deflection of 1.622 mm and 1.186 mm. UHPC macro shell with curvature of 20 cm, 0.8% polypropylene fibers and using polynet achieve maximum load of 79.71 kg or 14 times its self weight and maximum deflection of 0.76 mm and 0.87 mm. UHPC macro shell with curvature of 20 cm and 0.48% polypropylene fibers reach maximum load of 65.4 kg or 11 times its self weight and a maximum deflection of 1 mm and 0898 mm.
