Abstract
Performa akademik menjadi salah satu kunci penting dalam menilai keberhasilan belajar siswa. Namun, tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa terdapat siswa yang memiliki performa akademik yang rendah. Sekolah berperan penting dalam memberikan penanganan terhadap siswa yang memiliki performa akademik yang rendah dengan menyediakan Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) oleh konselor sekolah. Pengumpulan data dengan melakukan wawancara dengan konselor dan tiga orang guru, serta observasi kelas terhadap siswa kelas tujuh yang memiliki performa akademik yang rendah. Dari hasil penelitian ini, penanganan konseling yang diberikan oleh konselor sekolah dikatakan efektif atau berhasil, karena meningkatkan performa akademik siswa.
