Abstract

Memiliki hubungan yang baik dengan masyarakat setempat adalah hal penting yang harus disadari oleh setiap perusahaan. CV. Jaya Rattan pun menyadari hal tersebut karena dalam menjalankan proses produksinya perusahaan ini juga menimbulkan beberapa dampak-dampak negative yang merugikan masyarakat setempat sehingga dulu perusahaan ini sempat didemo oleh warga. Maka, untuk mengantisipasi agar aksi demontrasi dari warga itu tidak terjadi lagi maka perusahaan pun menjalankan sejumlah kegiatan Community Relations bagi warga Desa Candimas-Lampung Selatan. Adapun rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah : Bagaimana strategi community relations CV. Jaya Rattan dalam mengadakan hubungan baik dengan masyarakat Desa Candimas-Lampung Selatan?. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi kasus (case study) dengan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan teknik pengumpulan datanya terbagi dua, yaitu data primer terdiri dari wawancara mendalam (depth interview) dan observasi, serta data sekunder yang terdiri dari studi kepustakaan dan studi dokumentasi. Penulis mengaplikasikan Konsep Triple Bottom Line yang dipopulerkan oleh John Elkington (2007) dalam kegiatan community relations yang dilakukan oleh CV. Jaya Rattan. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Penulis telah menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan community relations yang dijalankan oleh CV. Jaya Rattan selama ini telah berjalan dengan seimbang dalam menerapkan Konsep Triple Bottom Line tersebut. Penulis menyarankan sebaiknya CV. Jaya Rattan memiliki Divisi Public Relations. / Having a good relationship with community and the surrounding is an important aspect that must be realized by every company. CV Jaya Rattan realize that they are creating sort of negative aspects while running their production which creating a protest in the past. Therefore in order to prevent that kind of situation to be happened again in the future, they are running an activity which is called Community Relations for all Candimas Village society. The key points in this research are: What kind of Community Relations strategies that CV. Jaya Rattan implemented to maintain good relationship with society?. The method used in this research is case study’s method with a descriptive qualitative research approaches and techniques of data collection is divided into two, primary data consists of depth interviews and observation, and secondary data consists of literature study and study documentation. The author applies the Triple Bottom Line concept popularized by John Elkington (2007) in community relations activities conducted by CV. Jaya Rattan. From the results of research conducted by the authors have shown that the implementation of community relations run by CV. Jaya Rattan had been in balance in applying the concept of the Triple Bottom Line. The author suggested that CV. Jaya Rattan should have Public Relations’s Division.
