Abstract

Pembuangan limbah cair ke perairan, khususnya limbah pewarna tekstil yang semakin tidak terkontrol menjadi ancaman nyata bagi ekosistem. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis uji toksisitas limbah pewarna tekstil terhadap organisme Cyprinus carpio atau umum disebut sebagai ikan mas dan mendapatkan nilai LC (Lethal Concentration) 50 dari tiap hasil pengujian. Organisme yang digunakan adalah ikan mas karena ikan ini memiliki nilai ekonomis dan tingkat sensitivitas yang tinggi terhadap perubahan di sekitarnya. Sebanyak 12 ekor ikan mas digunakan untuk tiap perlakuan. Perlakuan dilakukan dengan menaruh ikan ke dalam wadah yang sudah dicampur dengan pewarna tekstil Wantex warna merah cabe, hijau muda, dan coklat muda dengan konsentrasi yang berbeda-beda. Perlakuan dilakukan selama 24 jam dan dibagi menjadi 3 waktu pengamatan, yaitu pada jam ke–8, jam ke-16, dan jam ke-24 . Perhitungan nilai LC50 dilakukan menggunakan metode probit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pewarna Wantex warna coklat muda merupakan pewarna yang paling mematikan diantara ketiga warna. Pewarna warna coklat muda hanya membutuhkan konsentrasi pewarna sebesar 3.500 ppm untuk membunuh seluruh populasi ikan dalam wadah pengujian, sedangkan pewarna warna merah cabe dan hijau muda membutuhkan konsentrasi pewarna sebesar 4.500 ppm untuk membunuh seluruh populasi ikan mas. Nilai LC50 untuk ketiga warna berhasil didapatkan, yaitu 5.62g/L untuk warna merah cabe, 5.01g/L untuk warna hijau muda, dan 3.55g/L untuk warna coklat muda. Hasil penelitian juga berhasil menunjukkan bahwa dalam kurun waktu 24 jam, bagian tubuh ikan mas yang paling terkena dampak adalah bagian insangnya, sedangkan untuk organ bagian dalam dari ikan mas belum terlihat adanya kerusakan dalam kurun waktu 24 jam tersebut./The uncontrolled disposal of liquid waste into open water, especially textile dyes’ waste, has become an alarming threat to the ecosystem. The aim of this study is to analyze the toxicity of textile dyes on Cyprinus carpio using the method of toxicity test and to find the LC (Lethal Concentration) 50 of the textile dyes. The organism used for this study is Cyprinus Carpio, due to its economic value and its high sensitivity to changes in its surroundings. A total of 12 fish is used for each treatment. The treatment was carried out by placing the fish into a container mixed with Wantex textile dyes with three different colors, red chili, light green, and light brown. Each color has different concentrations. The treatment was carried out for 24 hours and was divided into three observation times, at the 8th hour, 16th hour, and the 24th hour. Probit method is used for calculating LC50. It was shown that light brown is the deadliest compared to the other two Wantex dyes. The light brown Wantex dye kill the entire population of the fish in the test container with only 3.500 ppm, while the red chili and light green Wantex Dyes need 4.500 ppm to be able to kill the entire population in the test container. The LC 50 for each dye was successfully obtained, 5.62g/L for red chili, 5.01g/L for light green, dan 3.55g/L for light brown. The results also showed the part of the fish that were affected the most within 24 hours are the gills. There are no visible damage on the fish’s internal organ within 24 hours.
