Abstract
Dengan persaingan bisnis yang berlangsung pada masa kini, perusahaanperusahaan diharuskan untuk memiliki suatu daya tarik tersendiri yang dapat menarik minat customer. Perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pusat perbelanjaan berkembang sangat pesat pada masa kini. Tercatat total 76 mall di lingkup Jabodetabek akan beroperasi pada akhir tahun 2012. PT. Lestari Mahadibya selaku pengelola Summarecon Mal Serpong adalah salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pusat perbelanjaan. Dengan memfokuskan event sebagai tools yang digunakan sebagai daya tarik untuk meningkatkan traffic mall, Summarecon Mal Serpong bertujuan untuk selalu memberikan pengalaman dalam sebuah mall yang berbeda dari mall-mall lainnya bagi para customer dengan event-event yang dihadirkan. Di dalam kegiatan magang ini, Penulis terlibat di dalam aktivitas event sebagai event staff dalam melakukan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi event Festival Kuliner Serpong dan Mooncake Festival. Selama berlangsungnya kegiatan magang ini, Penulis dapat menyimpulkan bahwa Summarecon Mal Serpong sudah menjalankan sebuah event management process yang cukup baik melalui tahapan objectives, planning, organizing, implementing dan divestment, sehingga dapat membangun hubungan yang baik dengan customer dan juga memberikan progress yang baik dalam meningkatkan traffic mall di Summarecon Mal Serpong. Penulis juga dapat memberikan saran untuk Summarecon Mal Serpong agar lebih merinci objectives dari sebuah event dan juga meningkatkan koordinasi dengan semua pihak yang terkait dalam berjalannya keseluruhan event demi kesuksesan event itu sendiri. / With heavy business competitions that take place in the present, make all of the companies required to have a different attraction which can attract customers. Companies engaged in growing shopping center today. Recorded a total of 76 mall in Jabodetabek area will be start to operate by the end of 2012. PT. Lestari Mahadibya as a company that manages Summarecon Mal Serpong is one of the companies that engage in the shopping center business. By focusing event as a tool that is used as a lure to increase mall traffic, Summarecon Mal Serpong aims to always provide experience in a mall that is different from other malls for their customers with events that are presented. In the apprenticeship, the Author engaged in the activity of event as an event staff in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of events Festival Kuliner Serpong and Mooncake Festival. During the apprenticeship, the Authors can conclude that Summarecon Mal Serpong already running an event management process well enough through the objectives, planning, organizing, implementing and divestment steps, so Summarecon Mal Serpong can build a good relationship with their customers and also provides a good progress in improving the traffic mall in Summarecon Mal Serpong. The Authors also provide suggestions for Summarecon Mal Serpong to do more detail in deciding the objectives of an event and also improving the coordination with all parties involved in running the entire event for the success of the event itself.
