Abstract

Kasus gigitan ular di Indonesia pada tahun 2019 dinilai cukup tinggi dan 51 diantaranya terjadi didaerah Jawa Barat. Tercatat sepuluh orang menjadi korban meninggal dunia dalam kasus gigitan ular di Jawa Barat tersebut. Tingginya jumlah kematian tersebut disebabkan oleh ketidaktahuan atau minimnya informasi tentang ular dan penanganan terhadap gigitan ular tersebut. Jika bisa ular dari ular-ular yang termasuk dalam kategori berbisa tinggi tidak segera diketahui, maka akan sulit untuk melakukan tindakan pertolongan kepada korban gigitan ular tersebut. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan analisis terkait dengan ular-ular di Indonesia yang termasuk kategori berbisa tinggi dan salah satu ular yang termasuk dalam kategori berbisa tinggi tersebut adalah ular Trimeresurus puniceus. Bisa ular dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode biuret dan SDS-PAGE. Berdasarkan hasil yang didapatkan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ular Trimeresurus puniceus jantan memiliki konsentrasi bisa 0.018 mg/dL sedangkan betina memiliki konsentrasi bisa 0.016 mg/dL. Pada bisa ular Trimeresurus puniceus jantan terdapat penambahan protein dengan berat molekul 13 kDa sedangkan betina terdapat penambahan protein dengan berat molekul 16 kDa. Protein pada berat molekul 13 kDa diketahui merupakan enzim PLA2 sedangkan protein pada berat molekul 16 kDa tidak dapat teridentifikasi. Enzim PLA2 yang terkadung diperkirakan merupakan enzim PLA2 yang memberikan efek myotoksin dan antikoagulasi./Snake bite cases 51 of them occurred in the West Java, Indonesia in 2019. Ten people were recorded as being killed. The high number of deaths is caused by lack of information about snakes for handling of these snake bites. If the venom of high venomous snakes category is not immediately known, it will be difficult to take action to help the victim of the snake bite. Therefore, an analysis is needed regarding snakes in Indonesia which are categorized as highly venomous and one of them is Trimeresurus puniceus. Snake venom was analyzed using the biuret method and SDS- PAGE. Based on the results, the male Trimeresurus puniceus snake has a protein concentration of 0.018 mg / dL and female has a 0.016 mg / dL. In male Trimeresurus puniceus snake venom, there is an addition of protein with a molecular weight of 13 kDa, and females addition of protein with a molecular weight of 16 kDa. Proteins at a molecular weight of 13 kDa are known to be PLA2 enzymes and proteins at a molecular weight of 16 kDa cannot be identified. The PLA2 enzyme contained is thought to be a PLA2 enzyme that provides myotoxin and anticoagulation effects.
