Abstract

Latar Belakang : Indonesia adalah salah satu negara dengan jumlah perokok yang banyak sehingga dapat dipastikan bahwa Indonesia memiliki prevalensi PPOK yang tinggi. Menurut WHO, PPOK akan menjadi 3 besar penyebab kematian di dunia. Gejala yang ditimbulkan oleh PPOK dapat membuat penderitanya mengalami depresi. Gejala yang menggangu kualitas hidup ini dapat dinilai dengan menggunakan kuesioner CAT dan gejala depresi dapat diukur menggunakan kuesioner BDI II. Dengan demikian, penting untuk melakukan penilitian tentang hubungan skor CAT dengan risiko terjadinya depresi pada pasien PPOK di Rumah sakit Umum Siloam. Tujuan Penelitian : Mengetahui hubungan antara skor CAT dengan risiko terjadinya depresi pada pasien PPOK stabil di Rumah sakit Umum Siloam. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian cross sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 53 pasien PPOK stabil yang datang ke Rumah sakit Umum Siloam yang diambil secara consecutive sampling. Hasil data yang terkumpul akan diolah menggunakan Microsoft Excel SPSS 23 dan uji statistic Chi Square. Hasil Analisa Data : Penelitian ini menunjukan adanya hubungan yang bermakna antara skor CAT dengan risiko terjadinya depresi pada pasien PPOK stabil di Rumah sakit Umum Siloam ( p-value = 0,001). Simpulan : Terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara skor CAT dengan risiko terjadinya depresi pada pasien PPOK stabil di Rumah sakit Umum Siloam / Background: Indonesia is one of the country with a large number of smokers so it can be confirmed that Indonesia has a high prevalence of COPD. According to WHO, COPD will be the top 3 cause of death in the world. Symptoms caused by COPD can make sufferers experience depression. Symptoms that disturb the quality of life can be measured using the CAT questionnare and depressive symptoms can be measured using BDI II questionnare. Thus, it is important to conduct a study of the relationship between CAT scores and the risk of depression in stable COPD’S patient at Siloam General Hospital. Objective: To examine correlation the between CAT score and the risk of depression in stable COPD’s patient at Siloam General Hospital. Methods: This research used a cross sectional design. The study sample of 53 stable COPD patients who came to the General Hospital of Siloam taken by consecutive sampling. The data will be collected and be processed using Microsoft Excel SPSS 23 and Chi Square statistical test. Result : The study showed significant correlation between CAT score and the risk of depression in stable COPD’s patient at Siloam General Hospital (p-value = 0,001). Conclusion : There is significant correlation between CAT score and the risk of depression in stable COPD’s patient at Siloam General Hospital.
