Abstract

Latar Belakang: Gangguan tidur terbukti erat berhubungan dengan masalah yang sering terjadi pada pasien dengan diabetes. Gangguan tidur pada penderita DM biasanya disebabkan oleh penyakit itu sendiri ataupun komplikasi sekunder yang diakibatkan oleh penyakit itu. Kualitas tidur yang buruk juga dapat berdampak pada kualitas hidup pada pasien DM tipe 2. Kurangnya perhatian dari para praktisi tentang gangguan tidur yang terjadi pada pasien DM membuat masalah tidur pada pasien DM tipe 2 sering kali tidak tertangani dengan baik oleh karena itu perhatian para praktisi harus ditingkatkan sehingga masalah gangguan tidur dapat diatasi dan tidak terjadi penurunan kualitas hidup pada pasien DM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan hubungan tingkat kualitas tidur terhadap kualitas hidup pasien DM tipe 2. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini akan menggunakan metode kasus kontrol. Sampel untuk kasus dan kontrol penelitian ini diambil dari pasien DM tipe 2 di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam (RSUS). Jumlah sampel minimal yang harus dikumpulkan adalah 66 orang. Pemilihan subjek dilakukan melalui non-random sampling. Peneliti akan melakukan interview sampel untuk pengukuran kualitas tidur dengan kuesioner Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) dan untuk pengukuran kualitas hidup dengan kuesioner Diabetes Quality of Life Brief Clinical Inventory (DQOL-BCI) setelah sampel menyetujui dan menandatangani lembar informed consent. Data akan dikumpulkan dalam periode Januari-Maret 2020. Hasil penelitian ini akan dianalisis menggunakan SPSS versi 25.0 dan uji statistik: T-test independen, Chi Square dan regresi logistik berganda. Hasil: Hasil analisis bivariat dan multivariat dari 79 responden didapatkan bahwa kualitas tidur memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan kualitas hidup dengan nilai- p 0.008 OR 8.267 dan CI 95% 1.749-39.077. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kualitas tidur terhadap kualitas hidup pada pasien DM tipe 2 (OR= 8.267)./ Background: Sleep disturbances has proven to have a strong correlation with common problems found in diabetes patients. Sleep disturbances in DM patients were often caused by the disease itself or was a secondary complication due to the disease. Poor sleep quality also has an impact on the quality of life of type 2 DM patients. The lack of attention from practitioners toward sleep problems that occurs among DM patients often causes these sleep problems in type 2 DM patients to not be treated properly. Therefore, attention toward this problem from practitioners needs to be increased so that sleep problems can be managed to avoid a decrease in quality of life for DM patients. This study is to find a correlation between the quality of sleep and quality of life in type 2 type DM patients. Methods: This research will use the case control study method. The sample for the case group and the control group from this research is taken from the type 2 DM patients in General Hospital Siloam. The total minimal sample amount that must be collected is 66 people. Subject selection is done using non-random sampling. The researcher will interview the sample for variable sleep quality using a Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire and for variable quality of life using Diabetes Quality of Life Brief Clinical Inventory (DQOL-BCI) after the sample agrees to and signs the informed consent paper. The data will be collected with the time period of January–March 2020. The results of research will be analyzed using SPSS version 25.0 and statistical test: T-Test Independent, Chi Square and regression logistic. Result: Bivariat and mulivariat analysis from 79 respondens shows that quality of sleep has a significant relationship with quality of life with p-value 0.008, OR 8.267 and CI 95% 1.749-39.077. Summary: The results of the research shows there is positive correlation between quality of sleep and quality of life in type 2 DM patients (OR=8.267)
