Abstract

The incentive is a key to increasing an employee’s commitment to the organization and employee retention.Incentives can be an effective mechanism for encouraging employees and creating innovation as well as motivation. The objective of this study is to know whether there is the impact of incentives to employee performance at family business tenants in Ringroad Citywalk. The methods used by the writer in this research is descriptive method and correlational method. Data used in this research is primary data and secondary data. Data analysis methods used in this research are descriptive statistic, validity test, reliability test, normality test, coefficient of correlation, coefficient of determination, linear regression analysis and T test Based on research result, that incentive has a significant impact on employee performance at family business tenants in Ringroad Citywalk. Tcount (10.11) is higher than Ttable (1.53). Coefficient of correlation is 0.779. It means that there is a strong and positive relationship between incentive and employee performanceat family business tenants in Ringroad Citywalk. Coefficient of determination is 60.7%. It means that 60.7% of employee performance can be explained by incentive while the remaining in 39.3% is explained by by other factors like motivation and work discipline. The linear regression equation is Y = 12.062+ 0.580 X. It shows that increasing of 1 unit incentive can make the increasing of employee performance that reaches to 0.580 unit.
