Abstract

Entrepreneur starts their own business by creating innovation and creativity in new business idea. Some entrepreneurs continue their family business who have been running for several generations. Every business aims to maintain the sustainability of the success and growth with the myths of sustainability of family business which will not be over more than three generations. With low percentage of non-family members who have involved in family business, because the business is run by family members. Non-family members can drive the organization to achieve their goals, bring different and fresh idea; become mediator during conflict; will increase the professionalism of the family business. The purpose of this research is to reveal that if there is any effect between role of non-family members and growth of family business. The results of this research are moderate and positive correlation, and all the questionnaires tested are valid, reliable, and normally distributed. There are 33, 6% role of non-family members effect towards the growth of family business with the z-test count 5.09 which means that the alternate hypothesis is accepted and null hypothesis is rejected.
