Abstract

Latar Belakang: Indonesia merupakan negara dengan konsumsi rokok terbesar di dunia dengan berada pada urutan ketiga setelah China dan India. Berdasarkan jumlah kasus karena penyakit terkait tembakau pada tahun 2013, didapatkan sebanyak 962.402 kasus dimana Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik menduduki peringkat tertinggi di antara penyakit yang lain dengan 284.310 kasus. Berdasarkan data global pada tahun 2005, diperkirakan ada sekitar 65 juta orang menderita PPOK dan 3 juta meninggal disebabkan oleh PPOK dan mewakili 5% dari seluruh kematian. Diperkirakan juga akan meningkat lebih dari 30% presentase kematian akibat PPOK di negara – negara Asia dan Afrika dalam 10 tahun mendatang karena dipicu oleh konsumsi tembakau yang meningkat. Penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat Hubungan Tingkat Pengetahuan Bahaya Rokok dengan Perilaku Merokok pada Pasien Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik di Rumah Sakit Umum Siloam Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan studi observasional potong lintang. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 40 subjek yang merupakan pasien Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik di RSUS, menggunakan teknik sampel konsekutif. Data dianalisa dengan uji Chi Square dengan menggunakan SPSS. Hasil: Dari 40 pasien PPOK, rata – rata umurnya 64.43 tahun dengan jumlah laki – laki sebanyak 37 orang dan perempuan sebanyak 3 orang. Terdapat 34 pasien memiliki tingkat pengetahuan baik dan 33 pasien memiliki perilaku merokok tinggi. Tidak terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan bahaya rokok dengan perilaku merokok dengan nilai p 0.9485, OR 1.973, CI 95% 0.1986 – 101.2. Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat hubungan bermakna antara tingkat pengetahuan bahaya rokok dengan perilaku merokok. Kata Kunci: tingkat pengetahuan bahaya rokok, perilaku merokok, pasien penyakit paru obstruktif kronik. / Background: Indonesia is the third largest cigarette consumption in the world after China and India. Based on Indonesian data in 2013, there were 962,402 cases in which chronic obstructive pulmonary disease was ranked highest among other diseases with 284,310 cases. Based on global data in 2005, there were an estimated 65 million people suffering from COPD and 3 million died due to COPD and representing 5% of all deaths. It is also estimated that it will increase by more than 30% the percentage of deaths due to COPD in Asian and African countries in the next 10 years because it is triggered by increased tobacco consumption. The purpose of this study is to see the relationship between the level of knowledge of the effects of cigarettes with smoking behavior in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease at Siloam Hospital. Methods: This experiment will use cross sectional observational study, will be 40 subjects who were patients with COPD in Siloam Hospital, using consecutive sampling techniques. Data will be processed using Chi Square analysis with SPSS program. Results: From 40 patients with COPD, the average age was 64.43 years consists of 37 men and 3 women. There were 34 patients have a high level of knowledge and 33 patients have a high smoking behavior. There is no correlation with p value 0.9485, OR 1.973, CI 95% 0.1986 – 101.2. Conclusion: There is no correlation between the Level of Knowledge of the Effects of Cigarettes with Smoking Behavior in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease at Siloam Hospital.
