Abstract

Angka kecanduan games online pada pelajar di Indonesia pada tahun 2013 diperkirakan ada sekitar 10,15%. Kecanduan games online merupakan salah satu faktor yang bisa mempengaruhi tingkat atensi seseorang, baik pengaruh positif maupun pengaruh negatif. Beberapa penelitian sudah meninjau hubungan kecanduan games online dengan fungsi kognitif tetapi masih sedikit yang secara spesifik menghubungkannya dengan tingkat atensi. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan kecanduan game online dengan tingkat atensi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode potong lintang dengan jumlah sampel 97 mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan Angkatan 2017 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi (power penelitian 56%). Penelitian dihentikan akibat pandemik Covid-19 sehingga jumlah sampel tidak mencapai yang seharusnya Pengambilan data dilakukan Februari - Maret 2020 dengan metode purposive sampling menggunakan kuesioner IGD-20 untuk kriteria kecanduan games online dan tes digit span forward dan backward untuk menilai tingkat atensi. Hasil penelitian diolah dengan program SPSS versi 25.0 dan metode Chi Square. Sebanyak 22,6% subyek mengalami kecanduan games. Pada kelompok kecanduan games terdapat 23,8% mengalami penurunan atensi (forward digit span) dan 57,1% mengalami penurunan atensi (backward digit span). Terdapat hubungan bermakna antara kecanduan games online dengan penurunan tingkat atensi (p value <0,05). / The online games addiction rate for students in Indonesia in 2013 is estimated to be around 10.15%. Online games addiction is one of the factors that can affect a person's level of attention, both positive and negative influences. Several studies have reviewed the relationship between online game addiction and cognitive function, but few specifically address it with attention levels. The study was conducted to determine the relationship between online games addiction and attention levels. This study used a cross-sectional method with a sample of 97 students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Pelita Harapan, 2017, who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria (research power 56%). The study was stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic so that the number of samples did not reach what was supposed to be collected. Data collection was conducted from February to March 2020 with a purposive sampling method using the IGD-20 questionnaire for online games addiction criteria and span forward and backward digit tests to assess the level of attention. The research results were processed with SPSS program version 25.0 and Chi Square method. As many as 22.6% of subjects were addicted to games. In the games addiction group there were 23.8% decreased attention (forward digit span) and 57.1% had decreased attention (backward digit span). There is a significant relationship between online games addiction and a decrease in attention level (p value <0.05).
