Abstract

Dari tahun ke tahun, perkembangan dunia pertelevisian terus berkembang. Dalam suatu perusahahaan dibutuhkan promosi untuk meningkatkan pembelian dari masyarakat. Promosi bertujuan untuk mempromosikan dan memperkenalkan produk atau jasa perusahaan yang ditawarkan ke masyarakat. Sebagai stasiun swasta pertama, RCTI selalu memberikan kegiatan yang berbeda, yaitu acara “Buka Puasa Bersama XL dan Artis Dari Sujud ke Sujud” yang diselenggarakan di Blok M Square dan Hotel Sultan Jakarta. Tujuan dari acara ini adalah untuk mempererat hubungan para artis maupun XL terhadap masyarakat terutama para pengguna xl. Dalam acara “Buka Puasa Bersama XL dan Artis Dari Sujud ke Sujud”, Penulis bertugas membantu di bagian publicity dan off-air. Dalam divisi publicity, Penulis membantu dalam membuat dokumentasi dan meng-list daftar nama pemenang. Berbeda halnya di divisi off-air, di sana Penulis bertugas membantu dalam mengawasi dan mendampingi para pemenang mulai dari sebelum acara sampai akhir acara. Dalam laporan ini, Penulis ingin menjelaskan tentang strategi yang digunakan oleh divisi marketing communication dalam acara “Buka Puasa Bersama XL dan Artis Dari Sujud ke Sujud”. Mulai dari tahap sebelum acara, memberikan informasi ke para pemenang, akomodasi, pengurusan hotel, hingga akhir acara. Dari semua yang dilakukan, Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa dalam pelaksanaan acara “Buka Puasa Bersama XL dan Artis Dari Sujud ke Sujud”, pembuatan spanduk, backdrop, dan banner sangat efektif karena selain para pemenang, tanggapan dari para pengunjung Blok M Square yang hadir, juga meramaikan acara. / Year by year, television world has been developed from time to time. In a company, it is very important to have a good promotion to increase the purchasing power of the people. Promotion does exists with the purpose of promoting and introducing the products or services made by a company that is offered to the society. As the first private television stations, RCTI always serves different program, for example “Buka Puasa Bersama XL dan Artis dari Sujud ke Sujud” which held at Blok M Square and Sultan Hotel Jakarta. The purpose of this program was to strengthen the relation among the actresses and actors as well as XL towards the people especially its customers. In the event “Buka Puasa Bersama XL and Artis dari Sujud ke Sujud”, the writer was responsible to be part of publicity and off air divisions. In publicity division, the writer helped for making documentations and listing the name of XL’s quiz winners. In contrast with off-air division, the writer had to be a controller and accompanied the winners from the beginning until the end of the program. In this report, the writer wants to explain about the strategy of marketing that had been used by marketing communication division at “Buka Puasa Bersama XL dan Artis dari Sujud ke Sujud” program, start from the pre-event, inform to those winners, accommodation, hotel check-in, till the end of the program. After all, the writer concluded that in the realization of “Buka Puasa Bersama XL dan Artis dari Sujud ke Sujud” program, banner and backdrop were very effective and helpful for the promotional strategy, because people will give positive responds to the program like the winners do so.
