Abstract

Diabetes Melitus tipe-2 dengan prevalensi yang cukup tinggi di Indonesia yang berkarakteristik sentral obesitas mempunyai resiko terjadinya peningkatan tekanan darah sistol akibat aktivitas lipogenesis pada perut. Walaupun sudah pernah dilaporkan korelasi antara indeks massa tubuh dengan tekanan darah sistol, namun belum banyak diteliti korelasi antara tekanan darah sistol dengan ukuran lingkar perut pada sentral obesitas yang terdapat pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe-2. Mengetahui korelasi antara tekanan darah sistol dengan ukuran lingkar perut pada sentral obesitas yang terdapat pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe-2. Sampel penelitian adalah pasien diabetes melitus tipe-2 dengan sentral obesitas yang terdapat pada poli penyakit dalam di Rumah Sakit Siloam Karawaci. Pasien yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi yang diambil dengan cara purposive sampling menggunakan perhitungan analitik korelasi dan akan diukur lingkar perut dan tekanan darah sistolnya. Keeratan korelasi antara lingkar perut dan tekanan darah sistol akan dianalisis dengan uji korelasi Spearman. Hasil uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan ada korelasi yang bermakna antara lingkar perut dengan tekanan darah sistol (P=0,047; r=0,282) pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe-2 di Rumah Sakit Siloam Karawaci. Penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat korelasi yang bermakna antara lingkar perut dengan tekanan darah sistol pada pasien diabetes melitus tipe-2. / Diabetes mellitus type-2 with characteristic of central obesity’s prevalence is high in Indonesia. Diabetes Mellitus type-2 increases the risk of high systolic blood pressure due to lipogenesis activity in abdomen. Even though the correlation of body mass index and systolic blood pressure has been reported before, there’s a little amount of investigation regarding systolic blood pressure and waist circumference in central obesity of diabetes mellitus type- 2 patients.To know the correlation between systolic blood pressure and waist circumference in central obesity of diabetes mellitus type-2 patients.This sample of this research are patients of diabetes mellitus type 2 with central pbesity from Siloam Karawaci Hospital. The patients that fulfill the inclusion criteria would be chosen with the method of purposive sampling. The waist circumference and systolic blood pressure will be measured and the data will be taken. The data collected will be analysed by analytic correlative calculation. The strength of the correlation between waist circumference and systolic blood pressure would be analused using Spearman correlation test. Spearman correlation test results show a significant correlation between waist circumference and systolic blood pressure (P=0,047; r=0,282) in patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus at Siloam Karawaci Hospital. Significant correlation between waist circumference and systolic blood pressure in patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus is found in this study.
