Abstract

Latar belakang: Menurut World Health Organization (WHO), 33% wanita di dunia mengalami penyakit yang berhubungan dengan organ reproduksi. Kesehatan reproduksi ini dipengaruhi terutama oleh perilaku menjaga kebersihan organ reproduksi. Remaja termasuk kelompok yang rentan terhadap perilaku kebersihan genitalia yang buruk karena pada fase ini terjadi perubahan yang singkat dan signifikan. Hal ini terutama berkaitan dengan menstruasi. Meskipun menstruasi adalah proses alami, tapi menstruasi juga terkait dengan beberapa kesalahpahaman dan perilaku di masyarakat, yang terkadang berakibat pada kesehatan reproduksi yang buruk. Sehingga masalah mengenai hubungan pengetahuan dengan perilaku kebersihan organ genitalia eksterna saat menstruasi pada siswi SMP perlu diteliti lebih lanjut. Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan perilaku kebersihan genitalia eksterna saat menstruasi pada siswi SMP Metode: Penelitian ini akan dilakukan dengan desain studi kasus potong lintang. Sampel akan didapatkan dari hasil kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada minimal 94 siswi pada SMP Lentera Harapan Permata Hati. Subjek yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi penelitian ini akan dijadikan sampel kemudian diolah dengan analisis Chi - square menggunakan IBM SPSS versi 23.0 Hasil: Responden terdiri dari 105 subjek. Terdapat 39 orang (37,1%) dengan pengetahuan baik dan 66 orang (62,9%) dengan pengetahuan buruk. Sedangkan untuk perilaku, terdapat 48 orang (45,7%) dengan perilaku baik dan 57 orang (54,3%) dengan perilaku buruk. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan dengan perilaku kebersihan organ genitalia eksterna saat menstruasi pada siswi Sekolah Menengah Pertama dengan OR 8,5 (95% CI 3,1 – 23,4) dan nilai P < 0,001 / Background: According to World Health Organization (WHO), 33% of women in the world have disease related to reproductive organ. Reproductive health is influenced mainly by the behavior of keeping the reproductive organs clean. Adolescents become a group that is susceptible to poor genital hygiene behavior because during this phase, changes occur quickly and significantly. This is mainly related to menstruation. Although menstruation is part of physiology process, people often associated it with a number of misconceptions and behaviors in society, which sometimes results in poor reproductive health. So that the problem regarding the relationship between knowledge and practice of external genitalia hygiene during menstruation among junior high school girls needs to be further investigated Objective: To find out the relationship between knowledge and practice of external genital organs hygiene during menstruating among junior high school girls Method: This research is a cross-sectional study. Sample will be obtained from questionnaires that will be distributed to minimal 94 students in junior high school of Lentera Harapan Permata Hati. Datas that are match with inclusion and exclusion criteria of this research will become samples and will be processed with diagnostic test chi square using IBM SPSS 23.0 version program. Results: Respondents consisted of 105 subjects. There are 39 people (37.1%) with good knowledge and 66 people (62.9%) with bad knowledge. As for practice, there were 48 people (45.7%) with good practice and 57 people (54.3%) with bad practice. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between knowledge and practice of external genital organs hygiene during menstruation among junior high school students with OR 8,5 (95% Cl 3,1 – 23,4) and P-value < 0,001
