Abstract

Latar Belakang/Background: Indeks massa tubuh (IMT) adalah tolak ukur penilaian status gizi, yang dapat menjadi faktor risiko berbagai penyakit, seperti penyakit kardiovaskuler, dan diabetes tipe 2. Vegetarian adalah pola makan yang berdasar pada konsumsi dari tumbuh – tumbuhan. Vegetarian dapat memenuhi sebagian besar gizi dengan baik, dapat mengurangi IMT dan memiliki angka overweight lebih rendah dari non - vegetarian. Pengurangan IMT dapat mengurangi risiko berbagai penyakit seperti diabetes tipe 2 dan penyakit iskemia pada jantung./Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measurement for nutritional status and may give rise to various diseases such as cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. Vegetarian is a diet that consists of plants It was discovered that vegetarians have lower BMI and overweight rates than non - vegetarians. Reduced body mass index may reduce diabetic and ischemic heart disease. Tujuan/Aim: Untuk mengetahui persentase asupan gizi dan indeks massa tubuh pada vegetarian dan non – vegetarian./To know the percentage of the nutritional intake and body mass index in vegetarians and non – vegetarians. Hipotesis/Hypothesis: Vegetarian memiliki indeks massa tubuh yang lebih rendah dan asupan gizi yang seimbang dibandingkan dengan non – vegetarian./Vegetarians have lower body mass index and a balanced nutritional diet compared to non – vegetarians. Metode Penelitian/Method: Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan studi cohort. Jumlah sampel adalah 80 dan diperoleh melalui metode sampling purposif. Populasi responden adalah umat usia produktif Pusdiklat Buddhis Maitreyawira Jakarta Barat. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada Februari 2020. Pengolahan data dilakakukan dengan program microsoft excel, dan analisis data menggunakan program IBM SPSS 23.0./This study is conducted with a cohort method. The sample for this study is calculated with purposive sampling method, with a target of 80 respondents from Pusdiklat Buddhis Maitreyawira West Jakarta. Data collection will be done in January-February 2020. The data will be processed with a program in microsoft excel and will be analyzed with IBM SPSS 23.0. Hasil Penelitian/Result: Tidak terdapat perbandingan asupan gizi dan indeks massa tubuh yang bermakna pada vegetarian dan non – vegetarian./It was found out that there are no significant difference in terms of nutritional intake and body mass index between vegetarians and non – vegetarians. Kesimpulan/Conclusion: Tidak terdapat perbedaan persentase yang bermakna antara asupan gizi dan indeks massa tubuh pada vegetarian dan non – vegetarian./There are no significant percentage differences in nutrional intake and body mass index between vegetarians and non vegetarians.
