Abstract

In this CoVid-19 pandemic situation, online learning is the way to maintain the sustainability of education in Indonesia. In terms of Christian education, the teacher needs to understand the students' current condition to help the students in their learning since interactions from both parties are limited. The issue that appears during online learning is the student's responsibility. To overcome the issue, this paper will deliver available strategies to be used in online learning and how to apply it in an online English classroom. The researcher hopes that it will be beneficial in terms of shaping the students' characters as Christ disciples. For this paper, the researcher uses qualitative descriptive as the method. The data collected from one of the Christian private schools in Toraja, specifically 8th grader students. The instruments that the researcher used are practicum observation sheets, journal reflections, and students work results. The results show that these strategies work in the 8th-grade in one of the Christian private schools in Toraja.
