Abstract

Latar Belakang: Menstruasi merupakan proses peluruhan dari dinding endometrium yang terjadi secara berkala dan teratur. Siklus menstruasi dipengaruhi oleh berbagai hormon, yang menghasilkan perubahan pada tubuh perempuan, baik perubahan mood, keseimbangan air dan elektrolit, hingga sistem kardiovaskular. Blood Pressure Variability (BPV) adalah sebuah pengukuran yang menunjukkan variasi dari tekanan darah, dan merupakan salah satu alat untuk menilai kerja fungsi homeostasis sistem kardiovaskular. Dalam penelitian sebelumnya, diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat variasi tekanan darah seiring berjalannya siklus menstruasi. Tujuan: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari siklus menstruasi terhadap Blood Pressure Variability (BPV). Metodologi: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian potong lintang. Pengambilan data akan dilakukan dengan menggunakan pengisian kuesioner dan pengukuran tekanan darah pada hari ke-8 (fase folikular) dan hari ke-21 (fase luteal) dari siklus menstruasi pada 97 mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan. Data yang diperoleh akan dianalisa menggunakan Microsoft Excel 2016 dan SPSS 22. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji test Wilcoxon. / Background: Menstruation is a shedding process of endometrial wall, that occurs periodically and regularly. Menstrual cycle is affected by several hormones, which cause changes in the body, such as change in mood, water and electrolyte balance, and even the cardiovascular system. Blood Pressure Variability (BPV) is a measurement that shows the variation of blood pressure, and is one of many instruments to assess the homeostatic function of cardiovascular system. In previous studies, there are variations in blood pressure during the menstrual cycle. Purpose: This study aims to know the effect of menstrual cycle to Blood Pressure Variability (BPV). Methodology: This study is using the cross-sectional study design. Data will be collected by questionnaire filling and blood pressure measuring on day-8 (follicular phase) and day-21 (luteal phase) of 97 students in Faculty of Medicine Universitas Pelita Harapan’s menstrual cycle. Collected data will be analysed using Microsoft Excel 2016 and SPSS 22. Wilcoxon test is used as the statistical test.
