Abstract

Dewasa ini, media komunikasi sangat bervariasi dengan hadirnya media yang lebih modern yaitu media sosial. Media sosial sangat populer di Indonesia, salah satunya adalah Twitter. Hadirnya Twitter mempengaruhi aktivitas public relations di Indonesia. Pengguna Twitter harus memperhatikan kalimat yang akan dipublikasikan karena dapat menghasilkan nilai yang baik ataupun buruk bagi akun Twitter tersebut. Penilaian seperti itu sangat berpengaruh dalam kegiatan branding melalui Twitter. Setiap pengguna Twitter dengan mudah mendapatkan informasi mengenai brand, tidak terkecuali untuk Floridina. Maka dari itu, aktivitas pubic relations melalui media Twitter harus memperhatikan setiap kata yang akan dipakai. Salah satu aktivitas pubic relations yang dapat dilakukan melalui Twitter adalah membangun brand awareness. Dalam laporan ini telah dijabarkan proses untuk membangun brand awareness Floridina melalui akun Twitter. Followers Twitter Floridina mengalami peningkatan karena setiap kegiatan dilakukan berdasarkan kepentingan followers. Proses membangun brand awareness Floridina bisa lebih maksimal jika menggunakan media tradisional dengan target market yang sama dengan Floridina. Hal ini dibutuhkan untuk menjangkau target market yang tidak menggunakan Twitter sebagai media untuk mendapatkan informasi / Nowadays, medium of communication is very varied by the presence of more modern media called social media. Social media is very popular in Indonesia. One of the most popular social media in Indonesia is Twitter. The presence of Twitter affects the activity of public relations in Indonesia. Twitter users should pay attention to the sentence they want to publish because it can produce value, whether good or bad, for the Twitter account. It can be an influence to the branding activity over Twitter. Every Twitter user can easily get some information about a brand, including Floridina. Therefore, we must pay attention to the every word will be used for the activity of public relations through Twitter. One of the branding and public relations activity that can be done through Twitter is building brand awareness. In this report elaborated the process of Floridina brand awareness building through Twitter. Followers on Floridina’s Twitter account has increased because every activity based on the interests of followers. The process of building brand awareness can be more optimal if they use the traditional media with the similar target market to Floridina. Traditional media need to be used to reach the target market that doesn’t use Twitter as a medium to get the information.
