Abstract

The broadcasting industry rely on the creativity to produce the high quality TV program. All program has copy rights matters. It is important to understand how the copy rights works in TV Program agreement such as SCTV especially if it is observed through judicial review and to know how effective the work agreement will protect the copy rights in the TV Program. This study has revealed the awareness of broadcasting industry people regarding the significance of Copy Rights in business deal agreement of TV Program between SCTV and its production house partner. This is a new development consider the last business deal agreement had only covered the business transaction which excluded the arrangement of copy rights ownership, exclusivity and other matters related to copy rights fortification. Nevertheless the detail and clear explanation regardi ng copy rights lor I V Program have not acquired determined consideration among the parties involved. In order that, the broadcasting society, including TV companies, production house, and the creator have to sit together to describe the copy rights protection for TV program in detail and comprehensive.
