Abstract

Media massa merupakan media yang sering digunakan oleh masyarakat dalam menyampaikan informasi tanpa terbatas oleh jarak dan waktu karena semakin mudahnya akses ke media massa. Oleh sebab itu, sering kali media massa dijadikan sarana komunikasi politik dengan tujuan untuk membentuk citra yang mereka inginkan di masyarakat. Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) merupakan sosok yang sedang diperbincangkan karena dugaan keterlibatannya dalam kasus RS Sumber Waras. Hal tersebut membuat media memunculkan berbagai pemberitaan terkait dirinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggambaran citra Ahok yang dilakukan oleh Sindonews.com dan Mediaindonesia.com dalam pemberitaan RS Sumber Waras periode April-Juni 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode menggunakan model pembingkaian dari Robert N Entman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Sindonews.com menggambarkan citra Ahok lebih negatif, sedangkan Mediaindonesia.com memberikan penggambaran mengenai citra Ahok secara lebih positif./ Mass media is a media that often been used by the society to send information without any limitation by distance and time because it is much easier to access mass media. Therefore, it is often mass media is used as a tool for doing political communication in purpose to build an image that they want in the society. Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) is a figure that always been discussed because he decided to run himself as the governor of DKI Jakarta through independent way. This case makes the media to show various report about him. The purpose of this research is to know the depiction of Ahok’s image that is done by Sindonews.com and Mediaindonesia.com related to the issues of Sumber Waras Hospital form April to June 2016. This research uses agenda setting theory and the qualitative approach with the content analysis method and the framing analysis method from Robert N Entman. The result of this research shows that Sindonews.com build Ahok’s image negatively, while Mediaindonesia.com shows the image of Ahok more positive.
