Abstract

Menyerang seseorang berdasarkan bentuk fisik kerap kali disebut dengan body shaming. Body shaming tidak hanya terjadi di dunia nyata melainkan juga di dunia maya, apalagi perkembangan media dapat memberikan dampak buruk terhadap pemikiran seseorang. Disisi lain terdapat upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengikis pandangan body shaming terbentuknya kampanye untuk mencintai diri sendiri atau biasa disebut dengan self love. Penelitian ini bertujan untuk mengetahui bagaimana Organisasi Self Love Warrior (SLW) melakukan kampanye melalui Instagram @selflovewarrior.id sehingga dapat mendorong masyarakat khususnya wanita Indonesia dalam menghadapi body shaming dan membantu wanita Indonesia untuk lebih mencintai dirinya sendiri (self love). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode penelitian studi kasus. Teori yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah teori konstruksi sosial. Sumber data primer dari penelitian ini mengarah kepada wawancara, dimana peneliti melakukan wawancara kepada tiga informan utama yaitu owner SLW, kepala desain dan kepala konten dari SLW. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara peneliti menemukan hasil bahwa self love dan body shaming memiliki hubungan, dan penggunaan media sosial yang bijak dapat memberikan manfaat yang baik kepada setiap pengguna. Organisasi SLW itu sendiri berhasil dalam melakukan setiap kampanyenya hal tersebut terlihat dari tanggapan audience terhadap setiap postingan SLW. / Insult to one's appearance or physical body can damage one's self-image, especially in women. Attempts made to eradicate shameful views of the body form a campaign to love oneself or what is commonly known as self-love. This research aims to see how the Self Love Warrior Organization (SLW) carries out a campaign through Instagram @selflovewarrior.id so that it can encourage people, especially Indonesian women, to face body shaming and help Indonesian women to love themselves more (self-love). This research uses a qualitative approach and a case study research method. The theory used in this research is social construction theory. The main data source of this study leads to interviews, in which the researcher conducted interviews with the three main informants of the SLW owner, the head of design, and the head of content from SLW. Based on the results of the interview, the researchers found that self-love and body shaming have a relationship, and the use of social media can provide good benefits to each user. The SLW organization itself is successful in conducting each of its campaigns, this can be seen from the audience response to each SLW post.
