Abstract

Beberapa tahun belakangan ini media massa mengalami perkembangan yang secara pesat. Proses pertukaran informasi menjadi lebih mudah akibat perkembangan media massa yang ada. Proses pertukaran informasi ini juga menimbulkan pertukaran budaya dengan mudah. Take Me Out Indonesia adalah sebuah reality show perjodohan yang berasal dari amerika serikat. Perbedaan budaya tersebut dibawa ke Indonesia yang memiliki budaya lain dibanding budaya barat, khususnya dalam pemilihan pasangan dimana Take Me Out tidak pernah menyinggung kesamaan iman sebagai kriteria dalam memilih pasangan. Penelitian ini mencoba mengetahui bagaimana persepsi khalayak terhadap pemilihan pasangan dalam tayangan Take Me Out Indonesia. Dasar dari penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan social learning theory oleh albert Bandura. Melalui penelitian ini terlihat bahwa ada persepsi baru yang terbentuk kepada khalayak mengenai pemilihan pasangan itu sendiri. Take Me Out Indonesia sebaiknya perlu memperhatikan nilai yang disampaikan dalam tayangannya agar mampu mendidik masyarakat melalui media massa / In recent years the media has developed rapidly. Information exchange process becomes easier due to the development of the existing mass media. The information exchange process also raises cultural exchange with ease. Take Me Out Indonesia is a matchmaking reality show originating from the United States. Cultural differences are taken to Indonesia, which has another culture than Western culture, especially in elections where Take Me Out couple never mentioned shared faith as a criterion in choosing a partner. This study tried to find out how the public perception of the election in a couple of impressions Take Me Out Indonesia. This is the basis of qualitative research by using social learning theory by Albert Bandura. Through this research shows that there is a new perception of the audience formed to mate choice itself. Take Me Out Indonesia should need to pay attention to the value delivered in tayangannya to be able to educate the public through the mass media.
