Abstract

Disiplin merupakan sikap taat dan patuh terhadap aturan, norma, nilai, dan hukum tertentu guna mengembangkan karakter sikap dan perilaku yang positif. Hasil observasi yang telah dilakukan di kelas VI SLH Curug, menunjukkan bahwa disiplin siswa masih sangat rendah yang ditandai dengan banyak siswa yang tidak mendengarkan dan tidak melakukan instruksi yang diberikan dengan baik, beberapa siswa tidak memperhatikan pada saat peneliti mengajar sehingga harus ditegur berulang-ulang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah menerapkan konsekuensi positif untuk meningkatkan disiplin siswa kelas VI SLH Curug. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis & McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam 3 siklus. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 31 siswa yang terdiri dari 10 laki-laki dan 21 perempuan di kelas VI SLH Curug. Data dikumpulkan peneliti melalui instrumen lembar observasi check list, lembar kuisioner dan jurnal refleksi. Hasil penelitian dari ketiga siklus mengalami peningkatan dari setiap indikator yaitu indikator “NTMP” pada siklus 1 sebesar 57%, siklus 2 meningkat menjadi 83% dan disiklus 3 meningkat menjadi 89%. Indikator “MGPB” pada siklus 1 sebesar 61%, siklus 2 meningkat menjadi 88% dan disiklus 3 meningkat menjadi 91%. Indikator “TBIK” pada siklus 1 sebesar 55%, siklus 2 meningkat menjadi 92% dan disiklus 3 meningkat menjadi 97%. Indikator “MPAT” pada siklus 1 sebesar 63%, siklus 2 meningkat menjadi 91% dan disiklus 3 meningkat menjadi 94%. Dengan cara rencana konsekuensi ditempel dan diberitahukan kepada siswa, konsekuensi diberikan kepada siswa sesuai dengan kesepakatan bersama, konsekuensi diterapkan secara rutin dan konsisten serta selalu menegaskan konsekuensi yang telah disepakati bersama./Discipline is a behavior of obedience to rules, norms, values, and certain laws to develop positive behavior and attitudes. The result of the observation that was done in Grade VI SLH Curug, showed low level of students’ discipline which is marked by the quantity of students who did not listen and did the instruction well. Several students did not pay attention to the researcher during the teaching activity, so that they have to be reminded repeatedly. The purpose of this study is to implement positive consequence to improve grade VI students’ discipline in SLH Curug. The research used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) Kemmis & McTaggart model which is done in three (3) cycles. The subject of this research is 31 students that consisted of 10 boys and 21 girls in grade VI SLH Curug. The data was collected from several instruments including observation check list sheet, students’ questionnaire and researcher’s reflection journal. The result of the three cycles showed increase for each student’s discipline indicator which is “NTMP” in cycle 1 by 57%, in cycle 2 it increased to 83% and in cycle 3 it became 89%. Indicator “MGPB” in cycle 1 by 61%, then cycle 2 it became 88%, and in cycle 3 it increased to 91%. Indicator “TBIK” increased by 55% in cycle 1, 92% in cycle 2, and 97% in cycle 3. Indicator “MPAT” in cycle 1 was 63%, cycle 2 it became 91%, and 94% in cycle 3. The strategy was implemented by sticking the consequence plan and telling the students, giving consequence to the students according to the agreement, implementing the consequences consistently and also emphasizing the consequence agreement.
