Abstract

Sekolah umum di Indonesia melakukan kegiatan menulis disetiap pembelajaran, seperti mencatat dan mengerjakan soal. Tingkat kematangan kognitif dan psikomotor serta tuntutan tujuan pembelajaran menuntut siswa untuk dapat menulis dengan cepat dan baik, sehingga pelajaran dapat dipahami secara maksimal. Bertolak dari pemikiran ideal, keadaan di lapangan memperlihatkan bahwa tidak semua siswa dapat mengikuti kegiatan menulis. Menulis yang merupakan sarana belajar untuk mempermudah mendapatkan informasi malah dianggap sebagai suatu kegiatan yang melelahkan dan susah untuk dikerjakan. Hasil tulisan yang dihasilkan susah dibaca, bentuk dan ukuran tidak konsisten, membutuhkan waktu lama, dan membutuhkan bantuan pengerjaan. Kondisi tersebut disebut sebagai kesulitan belajar menulis, yakni hambatan menulis yang dialami oleh siswa karena tidak mampu mengingat cara membuat huruf atau simbol-simbol matematika. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis secara mendalam mengenai bentuk�bentuk kesulitan belajar menulis yang dialami, faktor penyebab serta upaya yang dilakukan guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus dengan subjek penelitian salah seorang siswa kelas V SD ABC, Jakarta Utara. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknis analisis data yang digunakan adalah model interaktif Miles and Huberman, dan uji keabsahan data dilakukan menggunakan triangulasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan belajar menulis yang dialami mencakup: penggunaan jarak, tanda baca, ukuran dan bentuk tulisan tidak konsisten, tulisan keluar dari kolom garis, kemandirian menulis. Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kesulitan belajar menulis adalah kurangnya kemampuan motorik, membutuhkan waktu lama, memiliki fokus dalam jangka pendek. Upaya guru menghadapi kesulitan belajar menulis adalah memberi latihan, mendampingi, memberikan motivasi, memberikan waktu lebih, memanggil orang tua, membawa ke konselor./Public schools in Indonesia do writing activities in each lesson, such as taking notes and working on the questions. The maturity level of cognitive and psychomotor along with the demands of learning objectives require students to be able to write quickly and well, so the lesson can be conceived maximally. In contrast with the ideal of thought, the situation in the field showed that not all students were able to follow the writing activities. Writing is a learning tool which to make easier to get information even considered as a wearying activity and hard to do. The result of the writings are difficult to read, the forms and sizes are not consistent, time-consuming, and requires other help. The condition is referred as a difficulty of learning writing, which the writing obstacles that experienced by students for not being able to remember how to make letters or mathematical symbols. The research purposes are to analyze the forms of the difficulties of learning writing that has been experienced deeply, causes and efforts which done by teacher. This study used qualitative approach of case study with subject research, one of fifth grade students of SD ABC, North Jakarta. The techniques of collecting the data are observation, interviews and documentation. The technical analysis of the data is interactive model of Miles and Huberman, and the test of validity of the data was using triangulation data. The results showed that the difficulties of learning writing that has been experienced include: distance usage, punctuation, sizes and forms of writing are inconsistent, writing out of the column lines, independence wrote. The factors that affect the difficulties of learning writing is the lack of motor skills, takes many times, have a focus in the short term. Teacher's effort in dealing with the difficulties of learning writing are to provide training, assist, motivate, give more time, calling parents, bring to a counselor.
