Abstract

Dalam kesehariannya, masyarakat tentunya melakukan berbagai macam kebiasaan. Salah satu kebiasaan yang tak bisa terlepas dari masyarakat adalah gosip. Menjadi bagian dari kehidupan masyarakat, membuat hal ini menjadi salah satu topik yang menarik untuk diteliti. Hal ini untuk melihat kembali tentang bagaimana masyarakat melakukan kebiasaan gosip pada era saat ini. Kebiasaan gosip yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat melalu film Tilik ini akan berpengaruh dan bermanfaat untuk melihat dan mempelajari kebiasaan masyarakat sebagai bentuk dari proses berkomunikasi. Untuk itulah diperlukan penelitian untuk memahami dan meninjau kembali bagaimana masyarakat melakukan kebiasaan gosip sebagai proses dari keseharian hidup mereka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan data melalui analisa dialog yang diambil dari beberapa adegan pada film Tilik, dan juga melakukan metode triangulasi data dari jawaban wawancara media oleh pihak-pihak yang yang berperan penting dalam pembuatan film ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada film Tilik ini mencerminkan masyarakat dalam melakukan kebiasaan gosip, memanfaatkan pula alat dan media. Hal ini dikarenakan adanya kemajuan teknologi yang mempermudah masyarakat untuk mencari informasi di internet sebagai sumber gosip. /In their daily lives, people certainly carry out various kinds of activities. One of the activities that cannot be separated from society is gossip. Being a part of social life, makes this an interesting topic to research. This is to look back on how people carry out gossip activities in the current era. Gossip activities carried out by the community through the Tilik film will have an effect on seeing and studying people's habits as a form of the communication process. For this reason, research is needed to understand and review how people carry out gossip activities as a process of their daily lives. This study used a qualitative approach with Charles Sanders Peirce's semiotic analysis method. The research data collection was carried out with data through dialogue analysis taken from several scenes in the Tilik film, and also performed the data triangulation method from the answers to media interviews by parties who played an important role in the making of this film. The results of the research show that the Tilik film reflects the community in engaging in gossip activities, also utilizing tools and media. This is due to technological advances that make it easier for people to find information on the internet as a source of gossip.
