Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh dari labor hiring dalam suatu perusahaan terhadap stock return di Indonesia. Data yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian tersebut adalah seluruh data sampel perusahaan Indonesia yang terdaftar dalam S&P pada tahun 2011 hingga 2018 dengan melakukan pengecualian terhadap perusahaan finansial dan perusahaan yang memiliki net assets yang negatif untuk 2 tahun atau lebih secara berturut-turut atau perusahaan finansial dan perusahaan yang memiliki net profit yang negatif untuk 2 tahun atau lebih secara berturut-turut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hiring memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap stock return dan interaksi labor supply dengan hiring memiliki pengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap stock return. Diketahui bahwa hiring tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap stock return dimana bertolak belakang dengan penelitian sebelumnya.
