Abstract

Kinerja perusahaan dapat merefleksikan kinerja manajemen perusahaan dan menjadi alat untuk memprediksi laba yang akan didapatkan di masa yang akan datang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh dividend policy, capital structure terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di sektor materials dan healthcare dan terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada periode 2017 sampai 2019. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 74 perusahaan dengan data penelitian berjumlah 206 data yang telah memenuhi kriteria yang ditetapkan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, yaitu teknik pengumpulan data melalui fakta dan data yang tersimpan dalam bentuk dokumentasi, seperti surat, catatan harian, cendera mata, laporan, artefak, dan foto, sehingga memberikan kesempatan bagi peneliti untuk mengetahui hal-hal yang terjadi pada masa lampau. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa dividend policy tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa capital structure berpengaruh negatif terhadap kinerja perusahaan / Firm performance can reflect the company's management performance and be a tool to predict profits that will be obtained in the future. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of dividend policy, capital structure on firm performance. The population in this study were firms engaged in the materials and healthcare sector that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2019. The sample used in this study was 74 companies with 206 data which met the criteria set using the purposive sampling method. Data collection is carried out using documentation techniques, namely data collection techniques through facts and data stored in the form of documentation, such as letters, diaries, souvenirs, reports, artifacts, and photos, thus providing opportunities for researchers to find out what is happening in the past. The results of this research show that the dividend policy has no effect on firm performance. In addition, the results of this study also indicate that capital structure has a negative effect on firm performance.
