Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi di kelas VIII-B, ditemukan perilaku-perilaku siswa terlambat masuk kelas, saling mengganggu, keluar masuk kelas secara tidak teratur, menyela guru, saling bercerita pada saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung dan hal lain yang mengganggu kelangsungan proses pembelajaran. Hal ini menunjukkan siswa yang kurang disiplin sepanjang proses pembelajaran. Maka dari pada itu, peneliti memutuskan untuk menerapkan prosedur kelas untuk meningkatkan disiplin siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan prosedur kelas dapat meningkatkan disiplin siswa dan juga untuk menemukan cara menerapkan prosedur kelas secara lebih efektif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Taggart yang berlangsung selama dua siklus. Penelitian dilaksanakan di sebuah SMPK TUNAS KASIH TARAKAN kelas VIIIB pada tanggal 04 Oktober 2016 hingga 06 Oktober 2016. Peneliti menggunakan instrumen berupa lembar observasi berupa checklist dan lembar observasi “ Ya/Tidak” oleh guru mentor dan teman sejawat, serta angket siswa. Data dari instrumen tersebut dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dan analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, penerapan prosedur kelas secara konsisten berdampak pada suasana kelas yang lebih tertib sepanjang proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas disiplin siswa selama masa pelajaran telah ditingkatkan melalui pelaksanaan prosedur kelas sebanyak lebih dari 75% siswa di dalam kelas. Juga ditemukan bahwa penggunaan diskusi kelas dan pemberian salinan prosedur kelas telah meningkatkan efektivitas penerapan prosedur kelas. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan prosedur kelas merupakan salah satu metode yang tepat dalam meningkatkan disiplin siswa kelas VIII-B SMPK TUNAS KASIH TARAKAN dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran. / Based on observation result, which was done in Grade VIII-B, it was found that most of the students did not come on time to the classroom, the class was being too noisy, students disturbing one another,entering and exiting the classroom inorderly, interrupt the teacher, chatted with one another while the learning process and it disturbed the learning process. It shows that the student lack of discipline through the learning process. Therefore, the researcher decided to use Classroom Procedures in order to improve students’ discipline. The aim of this research is to investigate whether or not the implementation of classroom procedures can improve students’ discipline and also how to apply classroom procedures effectively. The method that is used in this research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) modelled by Kemmis and McTaggart which consisted of two cycles. The research is done in Grade VIII-B of a Christian Junior Hight school Tunas Kasih in Tarakan which was conducted on October 04th – October 06 th, 2016. Observation Checklist, Yes/No Observation by mentor and colleague, Reflection Journal, and Students’ Questionnaire were used as an instrument in this research. Quantitative and qualitative descriptive analyses were used to analyze the data. Based on this research, the Implementation of classroom procedure consistently impacted classroom atmosphere throughout the learning process. The result of this research shows that the students’ discipline have improved by implementing the classroom procedures by more than 75% of the students. It was also found that the use of class discussion, contract paper and posters improved the effectiveness of the classroom procedures. It was also found that the use of class discussion and the copies of the procedure which shared with the student had increased the effectiveness of classroom procedure. Therefore, it can be concluded that the classroom procedure is one of the appropriate methods that can be used to increase student’ discipline throughout the learning process at Grade VIII-B of a Christian Junior Hight school Tunas Kasih in Tarakan.
