Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada hasil observasi peneliti di kelas X IPS SMA JA yang dituangkan dalam jurnal refleksi peneliti dan jurnal refleksi siswa. Peneliti menemukan bahwa siswa kelas X IPS perlu didorong untuk belajar secara aktif di dalam kelas. Oleh karena itu, peneliti memutuskan untuk menerapkan teknik bertanya guru untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Melalui penelitian ini, tujuan yang ingin dicapai adalah mengetahui teknik bertanya guru dapat atau tidak meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa, serta penerapan teknik bertanya guru yang dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Sosiologi kelas X IPS SMA JA. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan di SMA JA, sebuah sekolah yayasan Kristen di provinsi Lampung. PTK ini memiliki tiga siklus yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 28 Oktober 2014 - 11 November 2014. Hasil data dianalisis dengan teknik statistika sederhana dan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah lembar angket siswa, lembar observasi teman sejawat, lembar daftar pertanyaan wawancara guru mentor, serta lembar jurnal refleksi peneliti. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui instrumen dianalisis dan ditarik kesimpulan bahwa penerapan teknik bertanya guru dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Sosiologi kelas X IPS SMA JA, yakni pada indikator mendengarkan guru dan teman sekelas. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan cara menggunakan pertanyaan yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan nyata siswa, menguatkan prosedur, serta memperhatikan estimasi waktu. / This research is based on the observation result that the researcher did at SMA JA Grade X Social which written in the researcher’s reflection journal and students’ reflection journal. The researcher found that the students needed to be encouraged to learn actively in the classroom. Therefore, the researcher decided to apply the teacher’s questioning technique increase the student’s learning activeness. The aim of this research is to know whether the teacher’s questioning technique can or can not increase the students’ learning activeness as well as the implementation of teacher’s questioning technique which can increase the students’ learning activeness in Sociology subject in grade X Social SMA JA. The research method used was Classroom Action Research, which has been done in Grade X Social at SMA JA; a Christian school in Lampung. This CAR has three cycles, which were held on October 28th 2014 – November 11th 2014. The data result was analyzed by using simple statistics technique and qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The instruments used were students’ questionnaire sheet, peers observation sheet, interview sheet, and reflection journal. The data collected by intruments was analyzed and concluded that the application of the teacher’s questioning technique could increase the learning activeness of the students in Sociology subject in grade X Social at SMA JA, which is in teacher and peers listening indicator. The actions that can be done is by using questions, which are related to the students’ real life, strengthening procedure, and paying attention to time estimation.
