Abstract

Penggunaan metode dalam aktivitas belajar mengajar merupakan salah satu faktor penting yang dapat mewujudkan proses dan hasil pembelajaran yang baik. Akan tetapi setiap metode pembelajaran pasti memiliki kekurangan dan kelebihan serta hambatan dan tantangannya masing-masing. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti mencoba untuk melihat, apakah yang menjadi kelemahan dan kelebihan serta hambatan dan tantangan dalam penerapan metode ceramah dan tanya jawab. Kemudian, solusi apakah yang dapat dilakukan atas hal tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif jenis studi kasus yang berlangsung selama kurang lebih dua bulan.Penelitian dilaksanakan disekolah ABC Lippo Village kelas VII tanggal 03 September 2015 hingga 27 November 2015.Peneliti menggunakan beberapa instrumen, yakni lembar observasi, lembar angket siswa, lembar wawancara guru, daftar nilai siswa, dan dokumentasi visual serta arsip. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, penerapan metode ceramah dan tanya jawab untuk kelas 7 dalam pembelajaran IPS Terpadu memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan serta hambatan dan tantangan. Maka berdasarkan hal tersebut dan teori-teori yang ada, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa metode ceramah dan tanya jawab pada dasarnya baik untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPS Terpadu, dengan materi yang padat dan waktu yang singkat. Akan tetapi sebaiknya guru juga melakukan kombinasi metode, penggunaan media yang menarik dan menggunakan strategi yang menarik dan sesuai sebagai strategi dalam pengajaran. / The implementation of methods in teaching and learning activity is one of the important factors that can effects the learning process and the achievement of good score. However every teaching and learning method has its positive and negative side, and has its obstacle and challenges. In this study, the researcher trying to see and figure out how teachers impelement the Lecturing and Questioning-Answering methods in class. What are the positive and negative sides, also the obstacles and challenges then how teachers cover the problems. The research method that used in this study is a qualitative method in case study. It was conducted on grade 7, at sekolah ABC Lippo Village, from September 3rd 2015 up to November 27th 2015. These following instruments were to collect the data; observation form, questionnaires form for teachers and students, deep interview for teachers, student’s grade list, and some documentation in visual and document form. Based on the study, the impelementation of Lecturing and QuestioningAnswering methods in grade 7 for Social Study has its positive and negative sides also its obstacles and challenges. And based on some theories, the impelementation of those methods are effective to use in Social Studies learning, because the the limit of learning time and the large content in the curricculum system. But it would be better if the teachers do some methods combination, using some teaching media that can attract students to learn, and the effective strategies in teaching and learning process.
