Abstract

Tingginya konsumsi penggunaan media televisi dalam kehidupan masyarakat membuat banyak pihak ingin terjun ke industri ini. Apalagi ditambah dengan fakta bahwa televisi masih menjadi media dengan tingkat belanja iklan yang paling tinggi. Berdasarkan data AGB Nielsen dan Media Scene, televisi masih mendominasi perolehan iklan sekitar 60%. Sisanya diperebutkan koran, majalah, radio, dan media lainnya (Hutapea, 2010:23). Industri televisi berkembang menjadi industri padat modal yang pengelolaannya didukung dengan canggih sebagai bentuk implikasi globalisasi industri media. Manajemen produksi merupakan sebuah proses perencanaan, pengorganisasian, kepemimpinan dan pengawasan sumber daya untuk mencapai tujuan organisasi secara efektif dan efisien. Manajemen produksi memiliki empat fungsi yang diterapkan dalam proses produksi program acara televisi yang terdiri dari beberapa tahap, yakni development, pre-production, production dan postproduction.) Berita TV bukan hanya sekedar melaporkan fakta tulisan atau narasi, tetapi juga gambar (visual). Bagi berita TV, gambar adalah primadona atau paling utama daripada narasi, maka narasi hanya sebagai penunjang saja. Berita TV tanpa gambar tidak ubahnya dengan berita radio./ The high consumption of television use in the society makes many parties want to plunge into this industry. The fact that television is still going to be a medium with the highest Ad spending rate. From the AGB Nielsen and media scene data, Ad revenue is about 60%, the rest of it contested by magazine, newspaper, radio and the other media. The television industry developed into a capital-intensive industry whose management is supported with sophistication as a form of implication of the globalization of the media industry. Production management is a process of planning, organizing, leadership and monitoring of resources to achieve organizational goals effectively and efficiently. Production management has four functions that are applied in the production process of television programs consisting of several stages, namely development, pre-production, production and post-production.) TV news is not just reporting the facts of writing or narration, but also images (visual) . For TV news, images are the prima donna or prime of narration, the narrative is only a support. TV news without pictures is like the radio news.
