Abstract
Saat ini, jenis dan pola perubahan komunikasi pesat sebagai teknologi yang dikembangkan, Orang tidak perlu membuat hubungan interpersonal yang satu sama lain dengan tatap muka sebaliknya, komputer komunikasi dimediasi telah muncul untuk menggantikan metode komunikasi. Instant Messaging telah muncul sebagai teknologi media baru yang membuat orang yang tersedia untuk berkomunikasi secara online melalui internet. Fungsi Instant Messaging dirancang untuk meningkatkan kegiatan sosial pengguna dengan menyediakan lebih banyak kesempatan dan kemudahan bagi komunikasi interpersonal. Whatsapp adalah salah satu pertumbuhan paling cepat di Indonesia. tesis kehendak ini memimpin pembaca untuk menunjukkan efek dari pesan instan melalui whatsapp menuju tahap pengembangan interpersonal antara siswa Pandan College./ Nowadays, the types and patterns of communication changes rapidly as the technology developed, People don’t need to make a interpersonal relationship each other by face to face instead, computer mediated communication had emerged to substitute the method of communication. Instant Messaging had emerged as new media technology which make people available to communicate online through internet. The functions of Instant Messaging is designed for enhancing users’ social activities by providing more opportunities and convenience for interpersonal communication. Whatsapp is one of the most rapid growth in Indonesia. this thesis will leads the readers to show the effects of instant messaging through whatsapp toward the stages of interpersonal development among Pandan College students.
