Abstract

Penanaman modal asing di Indonesia menjadi salah satu peranan penting dalam meningkatkan dan mengembangkan perekonomian dalam negara. President Joko Widodo menekankan bahwa penanaman modal asing perlu ditingkatkan agar ekonomi di Indonesia dapat terdorong dengan adanya bantuan pendanaan modal asing. Sekiranya diperkirakan bahwa pembangunan lapangan kerja yang lebih luas, penyerapan tenaga kerja, serta membentuk perekonomian yang lebih berkembang dalam negara. Pembenahan birokraksi merupakan agenda utama buat pemerintahan dalam usaha untuk mengundang lebih banyak investor asing ke dalam negeri dan dapat memaksimalkan potensi ekonomi Indonesia. Indonesia sebagai negara yang menerima penanaman modal asing pun mengerahkan usaha dalam memperbaiki kondisi ekonomi Indonesia yang masih terbilang belum cukup bahkan ketinggalan dari negara-negara tetangga lainnya khususnya dalam perkembangan di era globalisasi ini yang marak dengan teknologi. Indonesia terus mengupayakan agar proses ‘one door’ investment ini atau birokrasi satu pintu penanaman modal dapat terlaksana dengan baik kedepannya, dalam upaya menciptakan iklim investasi dan ekonomi yang sehat buat para penanam modal asing, dan dapat membantu perekonomian Indonesia untuk semakin berkembang. Kata Kunci: Penanaman Modal Asing (PMA), Pertumbuhan Ekonomi, Badan Penanaman Modal (BKPM), Produktivitas, Birokrasi, investasi, / In a country, economic development consists of broad and various elements to keep the economy running and sustain. The components of the economy in a country are consumption, government spending, investment, export, and import, which result in a total gross domestic product (GDP). President Joko Widodo stated foreign direct investment is used as capital to expand Indonesia’s economy. Employment, more job opportunities, and technological advancement will surely bring growth to the economy. Policy in a hosting country determines the investment activity, relation with foreign countries/companies, and Jokowi wants to focus on the bureaucracy for investment activities. Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal (BKPM) bridges the investors and Indonesia to do investment activities. Another selling point of Indonesia is the ‘One door’ policy, that expect to be the main attraction of Indonesia to the foreign investor. The ‘One door’ policy aims to create a suitable environment for investment activities and achieve Indonesia’s economic goals.
