Abstract
Karya tulis ini membahas 2 proyek, yaitu rumah tinggal (Jl Syamsu Rizal, Menteng) dan rumah tinggal (Jl Lembah Dua, Cireundeu). Yang dibahas dalam ke 2 projek ini adalah “ BAGAIMANA PENDEKATAN PERANCANGAN DENGAN BAHASA POLA PADA DISAIN RUMAH TINGGAL.” Yang digunakan arsitek Bapak Antonio Ismail sebagai pedoman jati dirinya dalam merancang. Proses desain ini mengunakan teori Christopher Alexander dalam merancang sebuah rumah tinggal dengan berbagai pola ruangnya dan unsur-unsur di dalam rumah tersebut tersebut, yang merupakan sebagai suatu kesatuan bahasa pola yang memiliki arti. Serta memasukan teori Kevin Lynch sebagai penambah dalam memahami faktor-faktor sekitranya. “We begin with that part of the language which defines a town or a community. These patterns can never be “designed” or “built” in one fell swoop - but patient piecemeal growth, designed in such a way that every individual act is always helping to create or generate these larger global patterns, will, slowly and surely, over the years, make a community that has these global patterns in it.” (Christopher Alexander, 1977)
