Abstract

Universitas Pelita Harapan is a very dynamic university. It has a big growth in population each year. With this growth, the university needs more space to accommodate the activities that happens in the campus area. For that reason, PT. Lippo Karawaci Tbk. as the construction arm of Lippo Group (parent corporation of Pelita Harapan Foundation) assigned to builds the new building. The building’s name is Universitas Pelita Harapan Gedung F. It consists of 5 floors and the design concept is a building to accommodate the teaching activities between lecturer and students. As the design process of this building takes a very long time, so it already behind the schedule of this project. For the construction of this building to be on- schedule, a very fast construction is needed. From the construction process, we can see that this building is indeed built in a very short time. Overall, Universitas Pelita Harapan Gedung F is a building that has met owner’s expectation. / Universitas Pelita Harapan adalah sebuah universitas yang sangat dinamis. Mempunyai tingkat pertumbuhan mahasiswa yang sangat besar setiap tahunnya. Dengan pertumbuhan ini, Universitas Pelita Harapan memerlukan ruang lebih untuk mengakomodasi aktivitas-aktivitas yang berlangsung di dalam area kampus. Dengan alasan itulah, PT. Lippo Karawaci Tbk., sebagai pihak konstruksi dari Lippo Group (perusahaan induk Yayasan Pelita Harapan) bertugas untuk mendirikan bangunan baru. Nama bangunan tersebut adalah Universitas Pelita Harapan Gedung F. Terdiri dari 5 lantai dengan konsep desainnya adalah mendirikan sebuah bangunan yang dapat mengakomodasi aktivitas belajar-mengajar antara dosen dan para mahasiswa. Proses desain bangunan yang mengambil waktu cukup lama sesuai dengan jadwal proyek ini. Agar konstruksi bangunan ini berlangsung sesuai dengan jadwal, konstruksi yang cepat sangat diperlukan. Dari proses konstruksi inilah, kita dapat melihat bahwa bangunan ini dibangun dalam waktu yang sangat singkat. Secara keseluruhan, Universitas Pelita Harapan adalah sebuah bangunan yang telah memenuhi keinginan pemiliknya.
