Abstract

Dalam tugas akhir ini penulis akan mengangkat beberapa permasalahan yang terjadi di dalam PT. XYZ dan perusahaan e-commerce yang bergerak dalam bidang OTT pada umumnya. PT. XYZ adalah perusahaan yang baru saja memulai usaha didalam bidang OTT service, Sehingga penulis mengambil beberapa rumusan masalah yang bersifat general yang dimiliki oleh beberapa perusahaan penyedia layanan OTT service. Beberapa permasalahan yang ada diantaranya seperti OTT service hanya ada di website saja belum tersedia di mobile dan set top box. Permasalahan yang kedua adalah OTT service belum memiliki fitur kreatif seperti chatting dan permasalahan terakir yang diangkat oleh penulis adalah menyediakan satu aplikasi yang berisikan VOD, Catch Up TV, Live TV, TV series, dan radio. Untuk mengatasi beberapa permasalahan yang diangkat oleh penulis yang dimiliki oleh OTT service dalam PT. XYZ, penulis menganalisa beberapa masalah yang terjadi pada OTT service pada umumnya dan penulis melakukan pengumpulan requirements untuk melakukan analisa. Penulis menggunakan metodologi Star Life Cycle dan juga menggunakan pemodelan pengembangan user interface dengan diagram UML seperti Use Case Diagram dan Activity Diagram. Dalam pembuatan user interface penulis menggunakan Adobe Photoshop dan Adobe Ilustrator. Dari permasalahan yang diangkat oleh penulis dan penyelesaian masalah yang digunakan, maka dalam tugas akhir ini, penulis dapat memberikan kesimpulan PT XYZ telah berhasil melakukan analisa dan membuat ddesign user interface yang memiliki tampilan minimalis sehingga user tidak mengalami hambatan yang berarti saat menggunakan aplikasi. Sesuai dengan visi PT XYZ pula, PT XYZ ingin menjadi yang terdepan dalam bidang internet, penulis dapat memecahkan permasalahan membuat fitur kreativitas seperti chatting di dalam OTT Service dan juga membuat satu aplikasi yang berisikan fitur VOD, Catch Up TV, Live TV, TV Series, dan Radio yang dapat digunakan dengan mudah oleh user. / This final assignment report will discuss about the problems that usually occurs within PT. XYZ and general e-commerce companies that specializes in OTT. As a brief explanation, PT. XYZ is a company that has just launched an OTT service fairly recently, and with that the author will explore some of the general problems that the usual OTT service providers may come across. One of the problems would be that currently, OTT service is only present in websites and not yet available for mobile and set top box use. Second of all, OTT service has yet to have more creative features such as chatting, and lastly the author aims to provide an application that consists of VOD, Catch Up TV, Live TV, TV Series and Radio. In order to solve the problems that PT. XYZ are now facing, here the author will analyze a number of problems that OTT services possess in general and the requirements to fulfill this examination will be collected. The methods used here is the Star Life Cycle and the user interface is modeled with UML diagram such as Use Case Diagram and Activity Diagram. Image editing applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator were used to create the user interface. From the problems raised and the methods used to solve them, it will be clear to see how this final report will conclude on how PT. XYZ have successfully analyzed and made a minimalistic design for user interface, which will then make the users’ experience when using this application much smoother and more enjoyable. PT. XYZ’s vision is to be the leading company in the internet industry, and in this report, obstacles like the lack of creative features such as chatting in OTT Service as well as creating an application that features all VOD, Catch Up TV, Live TV, TV Series, and Radio will be solved.
