Abstract

Tugas akhir ini akan membahas mengenai pengembangan modul perhitungan biaya ekspedisi dan biaya sewa truck pada aplikasi utama PT.OHL. Aplikasi yang ada saat ini belum memiliki fitur perhitungan biaya ekspedisi dan biaya sewa truck. Hal tersebut berdampak pada kinerja perusahaan karena staff PT.OHL mengalami kesulitan dalam mengelola data dan menghitung biaya. Modul ini dirancang untuk membantu PT.OHL dalam mengelola data dan menghitung biaya ekspedisi dan biaya sewa truk. Pengembangan modul dimulai dengan analisis sistem saat ini untuk mengetahui masalah yang ada dengan cara observasi dan menganalisis dokumen. Sistem tersebut dikembangkan menggunakan metode prototyping dimana setiap siklus dilakukan berulang-ulang dan diberikan kepada pengguna untuk mendapatkan umpan balik. Hal ini dilakukan agar modul yang dikembangkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Selain itu revisi juga dapat langsung dilakukan. Hasil analisis dimodelkan menggunakan diagram UML 2.0 yang terdiri dari use case diagram dan activity diagram. Pengembangan modul menggunakan Visual Basic 2010, ComponentOne Flexgrid, Crystal report, dan SQL Server 2008 serta pengujian modul menggunakan scenario testing. Kesimpulan dari proyek ini yaitu modul ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kinerja PT.OHL dalam mengelola data dan menghitung biaya ekspedisi dan biaya sewa truk. / This final project will discuss about the development of a module, which can calculate the revenue of expedition and truck rental in PT.OHL. The existing application in PT.OHL does not have feature of revenue calculation. The calculation and revenue management had to be performed manually which leads to slow performance, ineffectiveness and inefficiency. This module is designed to help PT.OHL in managing their transaction, especially in calculating expedition revenue and truck rental revenue. In order to understand and determine the current problems, development of the module begins with an analysis of the existing system. This is performed by observing and analyzing documents. The system is developed using prototyping method, where each cycle will be repeated several times. In each cycle, the result is presented to users in order to get feedback. Prototyping method is chosen because in every cycle, PT.OHL will give a feedback. This method aims to satisfy the user needs. The results of the analysis are modeled using UML 2.0 diagrams, which consists of use case diagrams and activity diagrams. The proposed application is developed using Visual basic 2010, ComponentOne Flexgrid, Crystal Report, and SQL Server 2008. Module testing is conducted using scenario testing. The conclusion of this final project is calculation of expedition and truck rental revenues module is expected to improve performance, efficiency and effectiveness of PT.OHL revenue management.
