Abstract

Anak lambat belajar merupakan anak yang memiliki keterbatasan kapasitas intelektual sehingga untuk menguasai suatu materi belajar, ia memerlukan waktu belajar yang lebih banyak dari anak-anak seusianya. Salah satu masalah yang ditemui pada anak lambat belajar adalah kesulitan untuk berkonsentrasi. Mereka akan kurang cepat dalam menangkap materi yang diberikan gurunya. Tujuan dari kegiatan magang ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh terapi musik terhadap tingkat konsentrasi pada anak lambat belajar. Tingkat konsentrasi yang dialami oleh anak lambat belajardi sekolah X diukur dengan IMTAP (The Individualized Music Therapy Assessment Profile). Penanganan yang dilakukan dalam menangani masalah konsentrasi pada anak lambat belajar menggunakan pendekatan terapi musik neurologis untuk pelatihan kognitif, dan yang menjadi acuan dalam penyusunan program terapi dalam menangani masalah konsentrasi pada anak lambat belajar adalah MSOT (Music Sensory Orientation Training) dan MACT (Musical Attention Control Training). Pengukuran ini dilakukan saat sebelum terapi dan saat berakhirnya sesi terapi musik. Hasil kegiatan magang yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa terapi musik terbukti dapat meningkatkan konsentrasi pada anak lambat belajar. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil pengukuran yang dilakukan setelah mengikuti terapi musik bahwa kedua klien mengalami perkembangan pada kemampuan fundamental, direction following, dan short-term recall/sequencing. / Slow learneris a child who has limited intellectual capacity so as to master the learning material, it takes time to learn a lot more than the kids his age. One of the problems encountered in the slow learner child is difficult to concentrate. They will be less rapid in capturing the material given teacher. The objective of this internship is to analyze the effect of music therapy on the level of concentration on slow learner children. Concentration levels experienced by slow learner children measured by IMTAP (The Individualized Music Therapy Assessment Profile). Handling is done in addressing the issue of concentration in children learning to use a slow neurological music therapy approaches to cognitive training, and which is used in the preparation of therapeutic programs in addressing the issue of concentration in children later learn is MSOT (Music Sensory Orientation Training) and MACT (Musical Attention Control Training). These measurements were performed before treatment and at the end of the music therapy sessions. Results internship activities conducted shows that music therapy proven to improve concentration in children slow learners. This is evident from the results of measurements made after the music therapy that both clients have evolved in fundamental skills, following direction, and short-term recall/sequencing.
