Abstract

Penurunan tanah akibat adanya timbunan sangat mempengaruhi konstruksi bangunan di atasnya, khususnya timbunan pada tanah lempung. Hal ini disebabkan adanya proses konsolidasi yaitu, mengalirnya air pori dalam tanah, yang mengakibatkan berkurangnya volume tanah. Penurunan akibat proses konsolidasi dapat diperkirakan dengan Metode Teori Konsolidasi dan dengan bantuan program PLAXIS v8.2, yang kemudian akan dibandingkan dalam penelitian ini. Pemodelan konsolidasi tanah dianalisa dalam dua tipe aliran air pori yaitu aliran satu arah dan aliran dua arah, dengan penimbunan yang dilakukan secara bertahap. Material model yang digunakan adalah Mohr Coulomb dengan parameter konsolidasi, Cc dan Cv, yang dikorelasikan dengan nilai k, permeabilitas tanah sebagai input di PLAXIS. Hasil yang diperoleh berupa waktu maksimum terjadinya konsolidasi, besar penurunan yang terjadi selama proses konsolidasi dan grafik penurunan terhadap waktu. Terdapat perbedaan hasil analisa konsolidasi dari PLAXIS dan Teori Terzaghi, baik untuk pemodelan satu dan dua arah, dimana hasil dari PLAXIS selalu lebih kecil, hal ini menunjukkan Mohr Coulomb sebagai material model kurang tepat dalam memodelkan proses konsolidasi / Soil settlement as a result of embankment is very influential for a structural construction on it, especially embankment of clay. It is caused by consolidation process, the flow of pore water inside the ground, and decreases the volume of soil. Settlement as a result of consolidation process can be analyzed with consolidation theory method and with assistance of computer program PLAXIS v8.2, which will be compared in this study. Soil consolidation modeling is analyzed in two types of pore water flow, which are single drainage and double drainage, with gradually accumulate mound. Model material, which is used, is Mohr-Coulomb with consolidation parameter Cc and Cv, which can be correlated with factor k, soil permeability factor as an input to PLAXIS. The result is maximum time of consolidation process, settlement during consolidation process and graph that interact settlement versus time. There are differences between consolidation analysist from PLAXIS and Terzaghi’s Theory, for single drainage and double drainage, where the results from PLAXIS are always less, which showed that Mohr-Coulomb as a model material is less precise to modelled consolidation process.
