Abstract

PT Matahari Putra Prima adalah perusahaan ritel yang bergerak dalam bisnis Department Store dan Supermarket. PT Matahari Putra Prima melakukan outsourcing kepada PT Visionet Internasional untuk memenuhi kebutuhan akan teknologi informasi mereka dalam proses bisnis dan operasional. PT Matahari Putra Prima menggunakan aplikasi Retek yang merupakan sistem aplikasi Ritel berasal dari Oracle. Masalah saat ini adalah PT Matahari Putra Prima belum menggunakan Retek 13 yang merupakan versi terbaru tetapi masih menggunakan Retek versi 10 yang dipakai sejak tahun 2005, oleh karena itu diperlukannya analisis mengenai kekuatan dan kelemahan sistem sekarang sehingga dapat mengetahui nilai kelayakan sistem sekarang. Hasil analisis ini akan dijadikan pertimbangan apakah diperlukannya Retek 13 atau tetap menggunakan Retek 10. Analisis pada sistem Retek ini menggunakan SWOT Analysis. SWOT Analysis adalah metode perencanaan strategis yang menggunakan kerangka kerja kekuatan, kelemahan, kesempatan, dan ancaman. Metode ini memberikan cara sederhana untuk memperkirakan cara terbaik untuk melaksanakan sebuah strategi. Metode ini membantu para perancang sistem untuk mengetahui apa yang dapat dicapai dan apa saja yang harus diperbaiki. Dari hasil analisis disetiap atribut SWOT maka dibuatlah pemetaan analisis SWOT pada tabel matriks dan dijadikan sebagai tabel informasi SWOT. Hasil dari pemetaan analisis SWOT tersebut kemudian dilakukan perbandingan antara faktor internal (Strength dan Weaknesses) dengan faktor eksternal (Opportunities dan Threats). Hasil dari perbandingan tersebut dapat dilihat apakah Retek 10 perlu diganti dengan Retek 13 atau tidak. Hasil analisis ini memberi kesimpulan bahwa Retek 10 memenuhi setiap kebutuhan proses saat ini dengan baik sehingga tidak diperlukannya Retek 13 untuk menggantikannya. / PT Matahari Putra Prima is a retail company engaged in Department Store and Supermarket business. PT Matahari Putra Prima outsourced PT Visionet Internasional to fulfill their needs in information technology area to support their business process. PT Matahari Putra Prima uses a retail application produced by Oracle called Retek. There is a need from PT Matahari Putra Prima to upgrade to the newest Retek version 13, from the old Retek version 10 that they have been using from 2005. Therefore PT Matahari Putra Prima needs to analyze the strengths and the weakness of Retek 10 in order to discover the current system feasibility value. This analysis will determine PT Matahari Putra Prima decision to upgrade to Retek version 13 or stay at the current version. SWOT Analysis method is used to analyze the current Retek system. SWOT Analysis is a strategic planning method that involves the framework of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats as an assesment attributes. This method shows a simple way to estimate the best decision for strategy implementation. This method helps the system designers to acknowledge the strength and weakness of the system, what can be achieved and what need to be repaired. The result from each attributes of SWOT analysis is made into a SWOT matrix table. Result of SWOT analysis mapping is then carried out to compare between internal factors (Strength and Weaknesses) and external factors (Opportunities and Threats). The result of this comparison is then used to decide whether Retek 10 should be replaced by Retek 13 or not. The result of this analysis suggests that the Retek 10 meets every need of current processes so well that there is no need for Retek 13 to replace.
