Abstract
Tunas Karya 1 adalah sekolah dasar swasta yang membutuhkan penyempurnaan untuk mengelola kegiatan dari proses administrasi mereka. Aplikasi ini dibangun untuk membantu karyawan mengatasi masalah dari sistem saat ini, dimana hampir semua proses administrasi ditangani secara manual. Ada banyak kekurangan dalam dokumentasi, kesulitan dalam menemukan data, dan komunikasi antara para karyawan yang membuat sulit bagi mereka dalam melakukan pekerjaan. Aplikasi yang diusulkan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses administrasi seperti kehadiran, mengelola siswa dan karyawan, pembayaran gaji, uang sekolah. Metodologi yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi yang diusulkan adalah Rapid Application Development (RAD) dengan menggunakan metode prototyping. Dimulai dengan menganalisis masalah sistem saat ini, mengumpulkan kebutuhan pengguna (menggunakan metode wawancara, analisis dokumen, dan observasi), dan pemodelan sistem menggunakan UML 2.0 dengan perspektif fungsional dan struktural. Hal ini kemudian diikuti dengan merancang struktur database, antarmuka, dan diakhiri dengan pembangunan sistem menggunakan VB dan MySQL. Pengujian aplikasi ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pengujian skenario. Aplikasi yang diusulkan memfasilitasi semua hal yang dibutuhkan saat ini dengan membantu mereka dalam melakukan pekerjaan. Aplikasi yang diusulkan dapat mengelola data siswa dan karyawan, proses pembayaran, dan menghasilkan laporan. Penggunaan dari aplikasi yang diusulkan dapat membantu karyawan dalam menghadapi masalah dari sistem saat ini. / Tunas Karya 1 is a private elementary school which needs an improvement to manage their activities of administrative process. This application is built to help the staff to overcome the problem of the current system, which almost manually handles all of administration processes. There are many deficiencies in documentation, difficulties in finding data, and communication between the staff members which make difficult for them from doing the works. The proposed application intends to enhance the processes of administration, such as attendance, manages new students and staff, payment of teacher’s salary, tuition fee. The methodology used to develop the proposed application is Rapid Application Development (RAD) with prototyping method. Starting with analyzing the problems of current system, gathering requirements (using interviews, document analysis, and observation), and modeling the system using UML 2.0 the functional and structural perspectives. It is then followed by designing the database structure, interface and concluded with the construction of the system using VB and MySQL. Application testing is performed using scenario testing. The proposed application facilitates all the needs of user by helping them finish their work. The proposed application able to manage the students and staff data, process of payment, and also generate reports. The use of the proposed application help the staff to face the problem of the current system.
