Abstract

Tugas akhir ini membahas tentang pengembangan aplikasi yang membantu pengguna di Perguruan Tinggi XYZ untuk mengelola proses administrasi mereka, terutama proses absen. Perguruan tinggi XYZ membutuhkan aplikasi baru yang dapat membantu mereka untuk mengatasi keterbatasan dari sistem saat ini yang secara manual menangani proses administrasi. Kesulitan yang dialami saat ini antara lain terjadi dalam menghitung absensi mahasiswa mereka, mengurangi kecurangan saat melakukan absensi, dan sulit mencari data yang dibutuhkan karena banyaknya kesalahan dalam dokumentasi. Aplikasi mobile dan web yang dibangun, dikembangkan dengan metode prototyping. Pengembangan ini melibatkan analisis dari sistem saat ini, pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Aplikasi ini dibangun dengan menggunakan PHP dan MySQL. Pembangunan aplikasi ini menggunakan pemodelan dengan diagram UML 2.0 seperti activity diagram, use case diagram, dan class diagram. Aplikasi ini diuji dengan menggunakan pengujian black-box dengan skenario dan pengujian secara fungsional. Hasil dari tugas akhir ini adalah aplikasi mobile dan web yang dapat membantu pengguna untuk melakukan proses administrasi dengan meminimalisir kesalahan, dan membantu mendokumentasikan data. Aplikasi back-end membantu pencarian data, menyimpan informasi, dan memeriksa jadwal. Aplikasi front-end memberikan bantuan bagi pengguna saat melakukan dan mengambil absensi untuk mahasiswa dan dosen, juga untuk merencanakan kelas pengganti. / This final year project discusses about development of applications that help users on the University XYZ to manage their administration process, especially attendance. University XYZ needs a new application that can help them to overcome the limitations of the current system that manually handles the administration process. Current difficulties include calculating student attendance, prevent cheating in taking attendance, and difficulties in finding the required information caused by incorrect in documentation make University XYZ need an application that can help the users to minimize those problems. The mobile and web applications are developed with prototyping method. The development involves analyzing the current system, requirements gathering through interviews, observation, and document analysis. These applications are built using PHP and MySQL, and the development are modeled with UML 2.0 diagrams such as activity diagram, use case diagram, and class diagram. These applications are tested using black-box testing with scenario and functional testing approaches. The result of this final year project is a mobile and a web application that can help the administration to minimize errors and manage information. The backend application makes it easier to find data, store information, and check schedules. The front-end application provides an easy way for the users to take student attendance and to plan substitute class.
