Abstract

Saat ini teknologi sudah digunakan hampir di semua bagian di dalam masyarakat untuk membantu kegiatan keseharian mereka. Salah satu bidang yang perlu menerapkan teknologi yaitu di dalam organisasi mentoring. Saat ini kegiatan yang dilakukan di dalam mentoring seperti pengumpulan laporan sel-d dan perhitungan nilai kinerja mentoring masih bersifat paper-based atau email-based. Program mentoring membutuhkan sebuah aplikasi berbasis web untuk pengumpulan laporan sel-d bulanan dan perhitungan tingkat keberhasilan mentoring Universitas Pelita Harapan. Tugas akhir ini mendeskripsikan pengembangan dari aplikasi berbasis web yang dapat membantu meningkatkan kinerja dan efisiensi dari organisasi mentoring. Metodologi pengembangan sistem yang digunakan dalam pembangunan aplikasi adalah Rapid Application Development (RAD) dengan metode prototyping. Metode ini terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu tahap perencanaan, analisis, perancangan dan implementasi. Tahap perencanaan terdiri dari identifikasi sistem dan analisis kelayakan sistem. Tahap analisis terdiri pengumpulan requirements dengan melalui observasi, wawancara dan analisis dokumen dan pemodelan sistem dengan UML. Tahap selanjutnya adalah tahap perancangan database dan web. Tahap terakhir adalah tahap implementasi sistem yang terdiri dari tahap konstruksi sistem menggunakan Adobe Dreamweaver, PHP dan MySQL, instalasi dan operasi. Aplikasi berbasis web ini memiliki fitur yang membantu dalam mengumpulkan laporan sel-d; melihat laporan sel-d; menilai mentor score; melihat mentor score; melihat mentoring score; mengajukan proposal event; memproses proposal event; dan aktivitas-aktivitas lainnya. / Nowadays technology has been used in almost all parts of the community to help their daily activities. One of the areas that needs the help of technology is the mentoring organization at Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH). Currently, the activities carried out in the mentoring such as collecting sel-d reports and calculating the performance of mentoring organization are mostly paper-based or email-based. The mentoring program requires a web-based application to collect monthly sel-d reports and calculate the success rate. This paper describes the development of the web-based application that would improve performance and efficiency of mentoring organization. The system development methodology used in the application development is Rapid Application Development (RAD) with prototyping method. This method consists of four stages, namely planning, analysis, design and implementation. The planning stage consists of system identification and system feasibility analysis. Analysis phase consists of collecting requirements through observation, interview and document analysis and system modeling with UML. The next stage is the designing of database and web interface. The last phase is the system implementation phase that consists of the system construction phase using Adobe Dreamweaver, PHP and MySQL, installation and operation. This web-based application will assist the mentoring organization in collecting the sel-d report; viewing sel-d reports; assessing mentor score; viewing mentor score; viewing mentoring score; submiting event proposal; processing the event proposal; and other activities.
