Abstract

Tugas akhir ini membahas pengembangan aplikasi portal untuk divisi International Assignment Services (IAS) pada PT. XYZ. Perusahaan ini sudah menggunakan Teknologi Informasi (TI) namun setiap divisi membutuhkan aplikasi khusus untuk membantu pekerjaan mereka. Oleh karena itu, aplikasi portal ini dibuat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan divisi IAS. Tujuan pertama tugas akhir ini adalah untuk mencatat process workflow compliance. Proses ini merupakan suatu alur kerja dan sistem yang dibuat oleh divisi IAS untuk menjelaskan langkah-langkah dalam bekerja. Dengan bekerja sesuai proses ini, kualitas jasa yang diberikan kepada klien dapat dijamin. Tujuan kedua adalah untuk menjamin bahwa dokumen yang digunakan dalam pekerjaan disimpan dalam tempat yang aman dan dapat digunakan dengan lebih mudah. Aplikasi portal ini digunakan untuk menyimpan dokumen elektronik. Dokumen disusun berdasarkan process workflow compliance, sehingga ketika karyawan menggunakan dokumen maka secara otomatis mereka akan mengikuti langkahlangkah yang dijabarkan dalam process workflow. Aplikasi ini diimplementasikan dengan menggunakan Lotus Notes Domino. Pelaksanaan proyek meliputi tahap perencanaan, analisis, dan perancangan aplikasi baru. Wawancara dan observasi dilakukan untuk memperoleh pandangan mengenai masalah utama dan kebutuhan. Metode phaseddevelopment digunakan untuk mengembangkan sistem baru, meliputi pemodelan sistem menggunakan UML 2.0. Analisis dan perancangan dilakukan sepenuhnya, dari analisis fungsi sampai perancangan antarmuka untuk sistem baru. Aplikasi ini sudah selesai dikembangkan dan memenuhi tujuan proyek untuk menyediakan pengetahuan mengenai process workflow compliance dan memberikan akses untuk menggunakan dokumen. Aplikasi ini dapat berjalan dengan sistem TI perusahaan dan hanya dapat digunakan oleh divisi IAS. Dengan sistem baru ini, divisi IAS dapat meningkatkan nilai bisnis dan diharapkan dapat memenuhi kebutuhan bisnisnya untuk efisiensi dan efektivitas operasional. / This final project discussed the development of portal application for International Assignment Services (IAS) division of PT. XYZ. This company has used Information Technology (IT) to maintain business before but each division needs particular application to help their works. Therefore, the portal application are made to fulfill the division needs. The first purpose of this final project is to record the process workflow compliance of the company. Process workflow compliance is a kind of workflow and work system that are made by IAS division to describe the steps of work. By working in accordance with the process, it will ensure the quality of services given to client. The second purpose is to make sure that the documents needed for work are stored in the safe place and can be used more easily. This portal application is used for storing electronic documents which can be used by all employees. The documents are arranged in accordance with the process workflow compliance, so when employee use the documents they will automatically follow the steps of the process. This application is implemented using Lotus Notes Domino. The project covers planning, analysis, and design of the new application. Interview and observation techniques are used to get clear views on the main problems and the requirements. Phased-development method was used to develop the new system, comprising system modeling using UML 2.0. The analysis and design is done thoroughly, from the functionality analysis to interface design for the new system. This application has been developed and fulfilled the purpose of development project to provide knowledge about process workflow compliance and give access to use its documents. This application is compatible with the company’s IT system and can only be used by IAS division. With this new system, IAS division will increase its business value and hopefully assured to meet its business needs for the operational efficiency and effectiveness.
